Its time for some fasttrack cappin, and it looks like there is gonna be some value in a lot of these race teams this week. I am a little short on time so I will try to get right to the point.

A couple of drivers that intrigue me right off the bat to win the whole thing are Jerry Nadeau at 15-1 and Kevin Harvick at 20-1. Nadeau has won here before and has been very fast at times during the week. He is one of those drivers that doesnt have any fear, which is very important in a race like this. That begin said, I feel that we are going to have a lot of the older drivers, driving very cautiously today with what happened to their brethren Dale in the first race of the year. Dale Jarrett and Sterling Marlin have both made reference in joking manner that they are both too old to drive this track the way it needs to the ran. Joking or not, they said it, and in the back of their minds they know it is something that is true. So take a long look at your Bill Elliotts, Rusty Wallaces, Mark Martins ect. before placing any high wagers on this one. I absolutly love kevin Harvick personality and outlook on this race. He has basically said he has no fear, and has criticized the older drivers for their so called fear of the race track. IN so many words, saying if ya cant handle the heat get out of the kitchen, or try another sport. Just like Dale woudl have said it, and I think Kevin is gonna drive the car a lot like Dale would have driven it today, and he may outclass the field, rememeber this team of his knows what it takes to win here.

On the favorite side of it, no one can overlook the 24 car of Jeff Gordon. He is back, and there is no denying it. He has had one of the best cars in each of theraces this year, and if he can stay on the race track, a Top 5 is a guarantee.

Dale Jarett has ran well this week, but is way overvalued at 5-1, I wont take those odds on a Ford until they win a race. Jarrett may run well, but I doubt that he has what it takes to hang in there all race.

Also, this is a race track that passing isnt the easiest thing, so take that in consideration when placing a lot of your bets. Dont let starting position sway you off a bet, but I would let it modify your bet size. For example, I wouldnt go laying the farm on T Stewart to beat Gordon. IT may be good value, but can Tony really get it up to speed to get up with the leaders?

So here are the bets that I have placed this week.

Nadeau +105 over Wallace
Little E +110 over Ward Burton
Gordon -110 over Jarrett
and Harvick -120 over Waltrip

I put a small bit of cabbage on Nadeau to win and Harvick to win at 15 and 20-1 respectively. I also put a few more units on Gordon to win to hopefully cover any losses if my doggies dont come thorough. Those are the only win bets I see with value.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks for the heads up!!! I have just had a disasterous week in college hoops, which has costed me to lose the cash in 2 of my accounts, (Yea, I know, MONEY MANAGEMENT) I am only dealing with one book now, and yea I thought that the odds seemed very low. I will in fact shop around. But those are still the guys I like, and my God, HARVICK at 85-1. That is truely unbelievable!

Hope you all got in on Harvick. This kid is gonna raise some havok this year. And if you can bet on Gordon to win a championship still, then it is free money. It is guaranteed, and that is a LOCK. Harvick is a lock for rookie of the year alos if you can get on that.

Yes young man I was likeing marlin even though he said what he said. But I had not thought about a little on the rook Harvick. So a little on him and alittle on Marlin. Bang money in the bank. Needed that after a 4/3 day on match ups. Marlin cost me one there two. GOOD call.Thats what this places is about talk-en and learn and help-en. This season is by far my best Nascar start. It has to do with this site. I used to just go it alone. Im Thank full to MJ for getting Nascar up for us.

HI

I just discovered this NASCAR thread Saturday night and was furiously reading what was available and trying to make a few picks for winners and match-ups.

I was reading the other info available BEFORE this thread was posted and was called to the office before I was through reading and making all my plays. YES.. I was called to the office on Sunday morning and totally MISSED this thread.

There was a lot going on Sunday and was not able to even watch much of the race. I had only had time to read 1837's thread. And I think that you must have posted this thread with all of your WINNING picks right about the time I had to go to the office to see the emergency patient, Big Tease.

Imagine my utter frustration to see that you had the winner.....right there!

Well.....Dammmmmmmmmmmm

It wasn't there when I was reading earlier Sunday morning when I was trying to make the plays.

I will definitely be looking for you next time.

By the way.... I didn't do to bad playing 1837's picks. Would have been great if the winner had been there too!

Thanks for all your hard work.
