here's the strange thing with me and the nc game... how many years have they been playing this game now? well, last year was the first year i ever hit it. yup, i was oh-for the nc game until LSU came through for me last year. so... do i still suck at this game and i just got lucky once? or was that the start of me hitting a few of these? the drama is almost palpable, isn't it?
anyways, thanks to everybody for posting all year. college football battles with college basketball for my favorite sport, so it's always sad to see it come to an end.
florida (-6) 2 units. another game i wish i'd grabbed 'sooner'. but i'm sticking to my guns. not a strong play though. would have only been one unit, but i need two to be profitable for the bowl games.
call me a square or a sucker, but i simply have to take the sec team over the big 12 team. it really is that simple. ok has tons of talent on both sides of the ball, but i don't think they've been tested all year like they will be tonight. no way of telling how they'll react. probably the only other good defense they played all year was tcu, and after the first quarter, they only scored 14 on tcu. the horned frogs held them to 25 yards rushing on 36 carries. yes, you read that right. and that was with murray in the lineup. can ok really have consistent offensive success tonight without a running game? i don't know, maybe they can. but i'm willing to bet they can't.
who knows? maybe it will just be a shootout and the last team with the ball wins. like i said, not a strong play. i do think the bcs got it right this year; a few weeks before the end of the regular season i said florida & oklahoma were the two best teams in the country. i just think florida is a little more battle-tested and should win (oh, and hopefully cover) tonight.
