just a bad, bad day on saturday. missed the big one with uconn (why would i ever take jim calhoun against tom izzo?), but i'm more pissed about the small play on the over in the unc/villanova game. after 89 points in the first half, wtf happened in the 2nd half? alrighty, water under the bridge. nasty, stinky sewer water, but it's under the bridge.
so now i'm practically back to even for the tournament. dammit.
unc (-8) 2 units. i simply am not buying what michigan state is selling. this is not a top-flight team. north carolina certainly is. and now the tarheels are playing some defense. :scared now, anybody who's bet sports for more than, say, 3 games, knows that the best team doesn't always win. but i gotta bet on the better, more-experienced team in the championship game. i was kinda surprised watching the replay of the earlier matchup between these two teams. with about 6 minutes to go in the first half, it was still a 4-point game. wow. i didn't watch it the first time around, and i kinda just figured unc blew 'em out from the start. i kinda expect the same sort of game. msu will ride the adrenaline and the home crowd early, but north carolina's superiority will win out.
one other factor... based on the #'s, unc should only be favored by about 5 on a neutral court. and this is no neutral court.
