Navigational map - Rental cars

while in Ft Myers florida recently we rented a car from Hertz and for 7 bucks a day we got the cant get lost system. Where have these things been all my life ? I mean this thing tells you when to turn and if you pass the turn it will quickly figure out a new way to go to get you back on course.

I am headed to Philadelphia in the next few weeks and am getting another rental to navigate around in NJ.

Cant wait until prices come down as I will be getting one of these. Of course with the device in the care they always know where you are which is kinda creepy. One rental place was also recording speeding with a unit of some sort and then giving fines for going over MPH. Can big brother get any closer ?

Good and bad comments with Navigational systems ?

Sometimes they can screw up but not very often.
