Going to play Dallas again vs the Lakers minus two. Dallas was opened as a 5- point dog the game they lost by 5 in Portland.I remember that game vividly because I middled it with Port-4 and Dallas +6.Since I grade teams ATS performance against the opening line for my record keeping handicapping purposes,I have Dallas as 8-0 ats in the playoffs. They are ,as everyone knows coming home up 2-0 with a chance to effectively put the Lakers out of their misery tonight. It seems to me that Dallas has had a fundamental advantage over LA overall in each of the first two games.LA has had few runs of signifigance,Dallas has so far always had the answer for whatever the Lakers have hit them with. I really doubt the the two time defending champions (which to me reads: bet against) are the team that is going to break Dallas's undefeated playoff Ats record in Dallas,in this spot. We've all seen sweeps before, even of good and great teams, and theres a point where the surprise and shock of what we're seeing sets in on the fans and betting faithful of what had been a great, great team. (Bullets were defending champs and were swept by rick Barrys GS Warriors one year for example.) LA is a team that has certainly answered the bell in this situation everytime they've been in it the last three years by playing a great and sometimes overpowering game. I just don't see the Lakers pulling off that hallmark great effort by shear will this time, call it chemistry,or whatever,Dallas is peaking in a way like no NBA team I've seen since Philly with Moses Malone ,Doc Erving and Barkley in the fo fo fo year. I'm betting that we are at that point with the Lakers tonight where they may pull a great performance out of the bag for a while,a half or so,but I feel the game evetually reverts to the form shown in the first two and that Dallas wins and covers the 2. In the first game I show that one as Chicago by three and very close to the total so I'm still mulling that one over, might play it at the half if the total goes especially high or low in the first h. Thanks for taking the time for that write-up. Good luck with it.
