Ok lets hear all your thoughts....

We know the draft will start off Lebron, Darko, Carmello, but what happens after that?

I think the Raptors are in a very intriguing position, and they are enterataining many offers. If you haven't heard, one of the hot trade rumors involving them is Latrell Sprewell and the #9 pick for Lamond Murray, Jerome Williams and the #4 pick of the draft. I'm still thinking about this deal, I think it helps the Knicks more, but the Raptors do get a scoring presence to help Vince out.

If the Raptors keep the pick they will most likely take Chris Bosh. He's highly touted, but who knows how soon he can contribute. I think the Raptors are looking for immediate help.

I think the general feel from the whole East is that they need to do something to shift the balance of power back over. New Jersey seemed like the best team in the east, head and shoulders above everyone, yet they got schooled in the finals. They most likely would have struggled with the other 3 injured powerhouses in the West, LA, Dallas, or Sacramento. With Payton talking about signing with the Lakers, I think alot of teams feel a sense of urgency to "shake things up".

I've heard about Rasheed Wallace going to Minnesota so both teams can head in different directions, or possibly Nash and Lafrentz going to Toronto for Antonio Davis, Morris Peterson and the #4.

I think many teams feel this sense of urgency because they don't want to watch San Antonio or more likely LA win it for another 3 years.

What are your thoughts on possible draft day trades, draft day sleepers (Barbosa ;)) or simply who you think your team should draft?

The Word in D-town is.......

The rumor in Dallas of late has Toronto trading Antonio Davis & the 4th pick for Steve Nash, Raef LaFrentz, & the Mavs 29th pick.

I've heard about this deal. Not sure if its just a rumor, but this deal allows the Mavericks to sign Jason Kidd. Basically to get Kidd they will have to sign and trade Nash for Kidd, and with this deal they swap Antonio Davis for Raef Lafrentz, plus they move up to the 4 spot all the way from 29.

Sounds decent.

I'd take it in a second too (from the Raptors perspective). Lafrentz should be able to do a bit better in the East, but he picks up fouls quickly.

No way in hell they will give up Nash. If he goes, so does the team.

I agree. No way in hell i would trade Nash for Jason Kidd. That aint going to win no championship. Unless they could get a really great player at #4 which they should.
Eventually use Kidd as a sixth man.

Ainge dealing with Jerry West.

I like Marcus Banks a lot from UNLV,
he will be a solid solid player for years to come.

Even this kid Brandon Hunter from Ohio
is huge. He led the nation in double doubles.:nono:

I think the Lakers, Orlando and Seattle had good drafts.

The rest is all a crapshoot......who knows. Not many teams really helped themselves that much, and to be honest, not much will changed from last year's results.

P.S. Way to go Minnesota.

the knicks added another forward with their #1 pick, to go along with the other similar players that they have already. so nothing great there. however their #2 pick, lampe was picked to go in the lottery, so this could be a good pick. of course like dave said, iy is all a crap shoot.
