Davis should be a sick NBA stud someday. So good defensively. I was arguing with a friend he could be the best defensive NBA player since Bill Russell... sick speed and quickness plus incredible length. Yes, he needs to gain a ton of weight and strength, but he will gain some of both and he will be dominate. Could go to NBA tomorrow and average over 3 blocks a game. Add some size & he could put up his college numbers with regards to blocks IMHO. He'll give NBA big men huge problems. Probably the best overall #1 pick since Lebron just based on his shot blocking and decent rebounding. Some peeps call him a poor man's Tim Duncan as I agree he'll probably never have Duncan's offensive game. However, he's a sick specimen with regards to length and quickness. Congrats Kentucky backers. You had the best shot blocker I have ever seen despite Withey setting the record for blocks in the tourney. Watch out for KU next year if they find a PG. Ton of solid size coming to KU next year with regards to guys who didn't qualify and incoming players to go with Withey. Think KU could be lethal if they can find a good PG and Elijah doesn't work INHO as he doesn't handle the rock that well, but KU would make their starting 5 NBA height if he's the answer. Guys coming in for KU are big, this team will be like Illinois 2001, but with more talent.:00hour

Davis will be much better than Marcus Camby... for sure... don't care if you don't agree, but would love to save this thread for 4 years when he's the best shot blocker in the NBA. Davis is so much quicker and more athletic than Camby. Anyway, agree IU will be awesome as well, but KU has some studs coming in their program up front. Between the 5 of them, I have to think KU will be top 5 and if they find a PG, watch out!

I actually think Davis is the best #1 overall pick since Lebron... No, he'll never be Lebron, especially offensively, but he's a freak with his length, shot blocking ability, and eventual rebounding. He'll have growing pains because he's not physical enough for NBA, but he'll be a dominate NBA player sooner than later... would be shocked if I'm wrong. Some call him a poor man's Tim Duncan and he might be offensively, but defensively, he's one of the best I have seen. Sick quickness for a big guy with 7-6"ish wingspan.

Oh, I saw Camby. I actually lover Marcus Camby. He was sick, but never had the speed of this Anthony Davis kid period. Okay, Let's Make Money, I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but he's a freak on defense. He's a one of a kind kid on defense. Oh well, hope I'm wrong as I hate Kentucky and don't like Unibrows. However, I'll admit when a kid is a freak.

Also, does anyone really think Calamari isn't paying these kids money? I mean, come on.. it's Kentucky. Guy is already Italian and crooked. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure someone in these guys family is getting a suitcase full of money. You really think Calamari is that good of a recruiter... NO! The suitcase full of cash helps. Hope this title isn't vacated, but would bet at odds it will be.... Shit Eddie Sutton already was caught with a suitcase... time will show Cal was caught as well... he's not as good a recruiter and coach as he's a cheating bastard IMHO. Hope I'm wrong, but doubt it.

Camby is awesome, however, Davis will be much better than Camby. Seriously. Camby is one of my favorite players because he's unselfish, but he's not Anthony Davis. This kid who I hate is a freak! He'll be incredible defensively and yes, much better than Camby. Mark this thread now and if I'm wrong, chastise me to death. However, I really think he could be the best defensive big man since Bill Russell and that says a ton. He's gifted quick and has the 7-6" wingpan to make him the best pick since Lebron... he's a freak! I don't even like the kid, but he's so quick... has not been a better pick in the NBA draft since Lebron's 2003 year and don't give me Okafor in 2004 as Emeka never was this quick!

So Camby was half the stud as this kid... trust me., I'm a huge Marcuse Camby fan. This shtoopid Unibrow F*ck is a freak. Best NBA #1 pick since Lebron easy and I don't even like Lebron. This Davis kid will be an absolute freak in the NBA, I mean Freak! Kids like this come around once a decade.

I like Kidd-Gilchrist. I think he will be an instant impact player for whoever drafts him. Same goes for Taylor from Kansas.

I think Davis is really really good but to put him in the same category as Lebron as far as sure thing picks is a little off base don't you think. He's unbelievable defensively but on the offensive end he's just a body. I don't think the kid got a single point until the 2nd half. I will admit that I didn't watch a lot of Kentucky games this year but he was a ghost on the offensive end. As far as his blocking abilities, how many were off of guards going to the bucket? In the NBA the guards know better. To me he will be a Joakim Noah, no better. To put him in Tim Duncan's category is a little outrageous, but you never know. There are busts and there are guys that totally turn around their game in the NBA.

The best #1 since Lebron is a joke. Rose is a hell of a #1. So far is looks like Blake is on his way as well.

I love Davis and more than anything love his attitude. I will root for him because he seems like a great kid. BUT, the kid has no offense at all and won't for a good while. IMO his offensive game will be much like Cambys, which has worked pretty well for Marcus. He'll be a very good off the ball defender in the NBA and will block shots left and right but he'll need a LOT of help to have a really good team.

Someone compared Davis and Cambys frosh year stats. You really have to look at the team around those two. Davis was able to freelance more because he had so many studs around him. I'm not saying he's not better but he had 10 times the team around him.

And for what it's worth, I don't think Calipara is paying the kids. It's World wide Wes paying them and then they're moving on to CAA and that's where the money comes back to him How all of it's legal I'll never know. To me it's the biggest scam in all of college sports.
