Dikembe Mutombo who most would argue is one of the best shot blockers in the NBA averaged 2.7 blocks per game and his best year had 4.5 per game. I just don't think this guy goes in there and becomes the best shot blocker the NBA has ever seen at 5 per game. Hell, Serge Ibaka seems like he is swatting balls left and right and he averages 3.4 a game, a whole block a game more than the 2nd place player. Of course none of us really know what will happen with the guy. I just don't see an automatic first ballot hall of famer like I guess you do.

I actually think Davis is the best #1 overall pick since Lebron... No, he'll never be Lebron, especially offensively, but he's a freak with his length, shot blocking ability, and eventual rebounding. He'll have growing pains because he's not physical enough for NBA, but he'll be a dominate NBA player sooner than later... would be shocked if I'm wrong. Some call him a poor man's Tim Duncan and he might be offensively, but defensively, he's one of the best I have seen. Sick quickness for a big guy with 7-6"ish wingspan.

best #1 pick since lebron??

apparently you havent seen derek rose play basketball.....

davis wont be leauge mvp in 3 years

and yes. he is most similar to marcus camby, tall slender, good shot blocker, poor post game.....he's benefitting more than camby did by coming into a leauge that doesnt have many 280lb+ centers any longer

Okay, I admitted that I was drunk when I typed my comment and not thinking straight. Let's just wait and see how this kid does on the next level as physically, he's going to have issues.

Saying Davis has no offense shows that u all haven't watched him much. He shoots over 70% from the stripe, and he shot over 60% from the field for the year. He has great form and great hands. He is also very intelligent and is very capable of learning more. Give him a little time with a big man coach, and he will get better exponentially.
