(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers have two chances to lock up homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs, starting with Monday's road test against the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Cavs need a win tonight or a victory over Philadelphia on Wednesday at home to secure homecourt advantage and clinch the NBA's best record. The Los Angeles Lakers are two games behind in the loss column and hold the tiebreaker thanks to a series sweep. The Lakers are the only team to record a victory at Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena this season.

Cleveland improved to 39-1 at home this season by routing the Boston Celtics, 107-76, on Sunday. MVP candidate LeBron James pumped in 29 points and handed out seven assists, while Daniel Gibson added 15 points off the bench for the Cavs, who outscored the defending champions 31-9 in the first quarter. The Cavaliers are now one home win away from matching Boston's all-time best 40-1 home record set during the 1985-86 season.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas ended with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a winning cause. The Cavs have won four in a row and will try to add one more win to their 26-14 record as the visitor.

Cavs forward Ben Wallace left Sunday's game with a bruised left knee and did not travel with the team to Indiana. Wallace underwent an MRI Monday morning which revealed a left patella tendon strain. He will receive treatment and rehab in Cleveland and is being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's season finale against the Sixers.

Indiana will resume its season-ending three-game homestand Monday and opened the residency with Saturday's 106-102 triumph versus the Detroit Pistons.

Danny Granger had 24 points and sank a pair of two game-sealing free throws to send the Pistons packing with a loss. Brandon Rush hit a career-high five three-pointers en route to 21 points for the Pacers, who have won three of their last four games.

T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack scored 18 points apiece in the loss. Indiana, which will miss the postseason for the third straight year, will close out the season on Wednesday versus Milwaukee and is 24-15 as the host.

Cleveland is 2-1 against Indiana this season and has won 12 of the last 14 matchups between the teams. The Pacers are 10-6 over the past 16 games as the host in this series.

(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors will close out the 2008-09 season with a two-game road trip and will visit the Washington Wizards tonight at the Verizon Center.

Toronto will also take on Chicago and is 13-26 away from Canada this season. The Raptors ended a four-game losing streak with Sunday's 111-104 victory over Philadelphia, as Chris Bosh ended with 22 points and eight rebounds to shake up the Sixers' playoff positioning.

Anthony Parker netted 18 points and Jose Calderon chipped in 11 points and 11 assists for the Raptors, who got 17 points from Andrea Bargnani and 14 out of Shawn Marion. Toronto is out of the playoffs for the first time since 2005-06.

Washington is aiming for its first winning streak since posting back-to-back wins on February 17 and 20. It ended a two-game slide with Friday's 100-98 victory at Toronto thanks to Caron Butler's game-winning jumper at the buzzer.

Butler had 21 points and seven assists, while Antawn Jamison added 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Wizards, who will close out their home schedule tonight and are 13-27 in DC this season. Washington will wrap up the season on Wednesday at Boston.

The 2008-09 season series between Toronto and Washington is tied at a game apiece, with each team winning on the opposing floor. The Wizards have won four of the past six matchups between the clubs.

Toronto has dropped eight of 10 trips to the Verizon Center.

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bulls are still jockeying for position in the Eastern Conference playoffs, as they shoot for their fifth straight win tonight on the road against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The playoff-bound Bulls are even with Philadelphia for the sixth spot in the conference standings and recorded their fourth consecutive victory with a 113-106 decision over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday from the United Center. Ben Gordon scored 39 points and rookie Derrick Rose ended with 22 points and seven assists for the Bulls.

John Salmons added 19 points and Joakim Noah ended with 11 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in the win. The Bulls will try to improve their 12-28 road record Monday and are slated to host Toronto in the regular-season finale on April 15.

Detroit is headed to the postseason for the eighth year in a row and will try to get back on the winning track this evening in Chicago. The Pistons are currently eighth in the East, just a game behind the Bulls and Sixers, and suffered a 106-102 setback in Indiana on Saturday.

Richard Hamilton scored 23 points and Tayshaun Prince added 18 for the Pistons, who had their three-game winning streak come to an end. Antonio McDyess chipped in 16 points and 15 boards in defeat.

The Pistons will close out the regular season on April 15 at Miami.

Chicago has won two of the first three meetings with Detroit this season and seven of the last nine games between the teams. Chicago, though, has lost two straight and 16 of its last 21 trips to Auburn Hills.

(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will resume a season-ending four-game road trip Monday against the New Jersey Nets at the IZOD Center.

The Bobcats just missed out on the first playoff berth in franchise history, and have dropped two straight and five of their last six games. They fell to 0-2 on the trek after a 113-106 loss at Chicago on Saturday, as Raymond Felton recorded 26 points and seven assists in a losing effort.

Boris Diaw added 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Emeka Okafor ended with 13 points and 14 boards for Charlotte. The Bobcats will close out the season on Wednesday at Orlando and are 12-27 as the visitor.

Meanwhile, the Nets will also miss the playoffs and have just three wins over their previous 11 contests. They are coming off Saturday's 103-93 triumph over Orlando thanks to Vince Carter's 27 points and nine assists.

Brook Lopez added 13 points and 11 rebounds for New Jersey, which shot a sizzling 54.3 percent from the floor in a winning cause. Keyon Dooling chipped in 12 points and 10 assists in the triumph.

The Nets are 18-22 as the host this season and will conclude the 2008-09 campaign on Wednesday at New York. New Jersey guard Devin Harris is questionable for Monday's game with a sore left shoulder.

Dallas is currently seventh in the Western Conference playoff standings, just one game behind New Orleans, and will also host Houston on the residency. The Mavericks are 30-9 at home this season and have recorded four straight wins as the host.

(Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets hope to clinch the Northwest Division title and inch closer to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs tonight when they host the lowly Sacramento Kings at the Pepsi Center

The Nuggets will secure their sixth division title with a win over the Kings tonight and can earn the second seed in the West with a triumph tonight and a win at second-place Portland in their season finale on Wednesday.

Denver, which has won nine straight at home and is 32-8 at the Pepsi Center this season, will also tie a franchise record for wins in a season with a triumph tonight, matching the 1987-88 team.

Most recently, Denver faltered in Hollywood against the best team in the West, the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant notched 33 points in that one and Andrew Bynum came back from a 32-game absence to score 16 points and grab seven rebounds in just over 21 minutes, as the Lakers rolled past the Nuggets, 116-102, last Thursday.

Carmelo Anthony led Denver with 23 points, while Nene notched 17 points and 10 rebounds. Chauncey Billups donated 17 points, while J.R. Smith poured in 19 points off the bench. Denver, which leads the Blazers by a game in the Northwest, saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end in the encounter.

Forward Kenyon Martin missed his fourth straight game against the Lakers with a left rib cartilage strain and is listed as day-to-day.

The Kings, meanwhile, continue to play out the string while dreaming of Blake Griffin.

Sacramento suffered one of its toughest losses of the season on Sunday when Michael Finley's three-pointer with 1.3 seconds left lifted the San Antonio Spurs to a 95-92 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Finley appeared to make the three after the shot clock expired, however. In what is destined to become a topic of offseason rule conversation, the play unfolded with the game knotted at 92 and time running out. Tony Parker drove the lane and dished a pass to Finley on the right side of the arc. Finley released a good shot, but a few tenths of a second after the shot clock had run out.

"Catch and shoot. That's pretty much it," said Finley. "Tony penetrated, made a great aggressive play and just kicked it out to me and I just shot it."

However, it was ruled a good shot and was not reviewable. After Andres Nocioni's desperation three fell well short on the other end, the Spurs walked off with the win and the Kings walked off on the short end of a controversial loss.

Spencer Hawes had 24 points to pace Sacramento, which had lost eight in a row. Nocioni finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Francisco Garcia added 12 points. Bobby Jackson scored 11 points off the bench in the loss.

Kings guard Kevin Martin missed his sixth straight game with a balky left ankle and will sit for the rest of the season.

(Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz have stumbled down the stretch of the season and hope to right themselves against the lowly Los Angeles Clippers tonight at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz, who are 32-8 in Salt Lake City this season, have dropped two straight at home to lottery-bound teams and aim to snap their costly skid against the Clips, who have dropped 11 straight in Utah.

With just two games left, Utah (47-33) is most likely headed for an eighth- place finish in the Western Conference and a first-round matchup with the mighty Los Angeles Lakers. The Jazz need to win out and get help from either New Orleans or Dallas to avoid that fate.

Most recently the Jazz fell to Golden State on Saturday when C.J. Watson poured in a career-high 38 points, doled out nine assists and hauled in seven rebounds to help the Warriors upend Utah, 118-108, at EnergySolutions Arena.

Deron Williams gave 26 points and 14 assists for the Jazz, who dropped their third straight overall and their sixth game in seven tries. Carlos Boozer had 25 points and 12 boards in the setback. Mehmet Okur and Andrei Kirilenko scored 18 and 10 points, respectively.

The Clippers, meanwhile, continued playing out the string by losing for the seventh time in eight games Saturday when LaMarcus Aldridge ended with 21 points and nine rebounds, as the Portland Trail Blazers pulled away to beat Los Angeles, 87-72, at Staples Center.

Rookie star Eric Gordon had 18 points to pace the Clippers.

Zach Randolph returned from his two-game suspension to score 13 points and grab six rebounds for LA, while Baron Davis had 12 points.

The Clips, who have lost 13 of 14 on the road and are a dismal 8-32 as the visitor on the year, have dropped three straight to Utah overall, including a 101-79 rout at the hands of the Jazz in Salt Lake City earlier this season.

Utah will finish the regular season Tuesday night against the Lakers, while the Clippers wrap up on Wednesday against Oklahoma City.

(Sports Network) - A pair of lottery-bound teams hook up in the desert Monday when the Phoenix Suns play host to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Suns would be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference but are playing out the string in the ultra-competitive West.

Most recently, Phoenix, which will miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2003-04 season, dispatched of the Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Saturday when veteran Grant Hill scored 19 points to lead the Suns past the Wolves, 110-97.

Leandro Barbosa and Jared Dudley added 16 points apiece for the Suns, who have won four of their last six games. Shaquille O'Neal chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, were trounced in LA on Sunday when Andrew Bynum scored 18 points and Kobe Bryant added 16 as the Lakers routed Memphis, 92-75.

Pau Gasol tallied 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Trevor Ariza scored 12 for the Lakers, who won for the sixth time in seven contests.

O.J. Mayo had 20 points for Memphis, which has dropped three of its last four games. Marc Gasol, Pau's brother, had 14 points and eight boards, while Hakim Warrick scored 12 and Rudy Gay 10 in defeat.

The Grizzlies, who are 8-32 on the road, have lost five straight at Phoenix.

The Suns are 26-13 at US Airways Center this season.

(Sports Network) - The streaking Portland Trail Blazers hope to improve their playoff position at the Rose Garden tonight when they welcome the reeling Oklahoma City Thunder to town.

The Blazers, who have won eight of their past nine games, have already clinched their first postseason berth since the 2002-03 season and their highest win total since recording a 59-23 mark in 1999-2000.

Now, Portland hopes to secure home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs and even has an outside shot at the Northwest Division crown. The Blazers are deadlocked with Houston for the fourth spot in the West and stands one game behind Denver for the division lead.

Portland needs Sacramento to upset Denver in the Rocky Mountains on Monday and then needs to take care of business itself by winning tonight and beating the Nuggets in the regular season finale for both clubs on Wednesday to win the Northwest.

Most recently, Portland topped the Clippers in Hollywood on Saturday when LaMarcus Aldridge ended with 21 points and nine rebounds, as the Blazers pulled away to beat the LA, 87-72.

Joel Przybilla had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Blazers, who ended the game on a 21-4 run to take their fourth consecutive win. Brandon Roy added 15 points and Rudy Fernandez had 13 points off the bench.

The Thunder, meanwhile, fell in Milwaukee on Saturday when Richard Jefferson matched a season high with 35 points to go with nine rebounds, leading the Bucks to a relatively easy 115-98 drubbing of Oklahoma City.

Kevin Durant went for 19 points and Russell Westbrook added 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Thunder, who closed out their inaugural home slate in Oklahoma City with a victory over Charlotte on Friday.

The Thunder close their season on the road, where they are a miserable 7-32 this season, against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City has also lost four straight at the Rose Garden, where the Blazers are 32-7 this season.

(Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs hope to build off a controversial win tonight when they visit the Golden State Warriors at ORACLE Arena.

The Spurs, who are deadlocked with Houston atop the Southwest Division with just two games to play, got a gift Sunday when Michael Finley's three-pointer with 1.3 seconds left, lifted the San Antonio Spurs to a 95-92 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Finley appeared to make the three after the shot clock expired, however. In what is destined to become a topic of offseason rule conversation, the play unfolded with the game knotted at 92 and time running out. Tony Parker drove the lane and dished a pass to Finley on the right side of the arc. Finley released a good shot, but a few tenths of a second after the shot clock had run out.

"Catch and shoot. That's pretty much it," said Finley. "Tony penetrated, made a great aggressive play and just kicked it out to me and I just shot it."

It was ruled a good shot and was not reviewable. After Andres Nocioni's desperation three fell well short on the other end, the Spurs walked off with the win and the Kings walked off on the short end of a controversial loss.

Parker had 25 points and Roger Mason added 22 for the Spurs, who got their second consecutive win. Both San Antonio and the Rockets are also tied with Portland for the third spot in the Western Conference standings, all with a 52-28 record.

Tim Duncan, who rested his balky knees on Sunday, is expected to return to the lineup tonight.

The Warriors, meanwhile, are coming off an impressive win in Salt Lake City Saturday when C.J. Watson poured in a career-high 38 points, doled out nine assists and hauled in seven rebounds to help Golden State upend the Utah Jazz, 118-108.

Robert Kurz donated a career-best 21 points and Kelenna Azubuike scored 18 for the Warriors, who have won four of their last six. Anthony Morrow ended with 13 points and Anthony Randolph 11 in the win.

San Antonio, which is 25-15 on the road this season, will be aiming for a four-game sweep of the season series with the Warriors tonight. Golden State is 21-19 at ORACLE Arena this season.
