I am gonna start keeping a notebook with the scores by quarter for each game. I hope that in time this will let me get a feel for how each team starts out overall both on offense and defense, as well as against teams in prior meetings. This may turn out to be fruitless, but I at least think it needs to be given a shot. Please let me know if this has been done in the past or if their are any sites that put all this out so that i don't print of scoreboards everday for the previous nights games.

past scores are available for the season on espn and other websites. But lot of clicking. If you enter the values in a database you can run queries off it.

Access is enuf for this purpose. Just a thought.

Woke up last night at 12:15. had to be to work at 4 am. as i do the rest of this week and next. Missed all the 1/2 time games last night. probably a good thing I did!!!!

Here's what I'm looking so far. Oly doesn't have the lines out yet, so I am just "guessing" here.

NYK total for the game should be about 84, and the 1Q total right about 22. Against Detroit, the Knicks put up: 27,18,20,10 point quarters. I had the under for them the 1Q and 1H, and missed both due to them shooting their wad in 1Q. I still think that they are gonna struggle very much this season and have some games sprinkled in there where they put up some points.


Cleveland was a money maker for me on Tuesday as I took their 1Q team total under 24. Here's what they've done in 2 games so far.
Gm 1: 14,18,10,25...game total of 67
GM 2: 17,28,25,28...game total 98

"Guesstimated line".....85.5 game and 23 1Q

Cleveland looks to be a slow starting team, and I seem to remember that about them in several games last season as well, but I wasn't paying as much attention to it then. Tonight they will be playing a Pheonix team that came out hot against Seattle, but really fizzled after the 1Q.


It's hard to really get into all of the games since OLY doesn't put their 1Q team totals out until late in the afternoon. I am gonna do my best to track this, so would definitely be something worth watching before wagering.

Thanks guys. What I've done so far is print of the web page at cbs sportsline which shows all the games for that night with the Quarter breakdowns as well. Hoping that will be enough.

I agree with you. Some teams come out flat early on the road. Check out Denver (per Nighthorse) last year. Flat in the 1st half and GREAT in the 2nd half. may be some good trend info there. keep us posted!!!

NY Knicks 1Q team u 21.5 (55/50) :
.....Houston really the best shooter on this squad...scored 27 on Detroit in 1Q on Wednesday....shouldn't go above 17 this time.

NO - 2.4 (220/200)
.....Bulls seem to be on the right tracks of the rebuilding process, but the Hornets are going to be a playoff team this year that plays really well together

Philly FH - 5 (110/100)
.....again, going against the Knicks putting up too many points. FH of the game 76ers will work to build a good lead, and 2H to keep that lead. Gonna hope they catch them sleeping early.

Memphis team o 87.5 (110/100)
......these guys scored 108 on Dallas to start the season. Granted, the Mavs don't play to much D, but this young Grizz team is very good, and I think the scoring carries over tonight.



Play the 1Q at your own risk. Like I said, they are small plays for me as I am still trying to figure this out. Best of luck to all of you tonight.

Changed the above play on New Orleans to (220/200) form (110/100). This is gonna sound weird, but I have had this stinging feeling all day. My right arm keeps getting this feeling in different spots like I am getting a bee sting. Hornet..Bee...same thing. Anytime weirdness happens like this, I always make a play or if it was a play make it a little stronger. Last season in College Hoops, I saw this truck that said "Old Dominion" on it, and saw it at least 3 times that day. Might be stupid to some of you, but it works for me.
