NCAAB 0-1
NCAAF 1-1
NBA 1-0
Overall 2-2
Two of the hottest teams in the NBA square off on Monday night as the Portland Trailblazers take on the Atlanta Hawks. This is the last game of Portland?s six game road trip - they are currently 5-0. The Hawks have won four in a row including a huge SU victory at Boston when they were 9 point underdogs. These two teams faced one another a couple of weeks ago with the Hawks winning in Portland as a 7 or 8 point dog. Portland?s main success while on this winning streak can be attributed to their defense. In their last 6 wins their opponents have scored 84, 93, 79, 84, 78 and 74 points. Meanwhile in the Hawks last 4 games they have scored 125, 114, 97 and 121. It is fairly obvious what the key to tonight?s game will be. Tempo. Usually the home team will be able to control the tempo but by looking at what Vegas has set this Over/Under at,this may not be the case tonight. Seeing a fairly low number of 187.5 shows that Portland will be able to dictate the pace of play tonight and keep Atlanta from running and gunning like they have been recently. Although Portland will be satisfied with their road trip whether they win or loss tonight, they will want revenge against the Hawks and should keep this game very close, if not winning straight up.
