GEM OF THE DAY 22-18-1
This Week 3-3 (only 1 losing week this season so need this one)
Last Play: Win Buffalo -4 Saturday
NCAA GEM OF THE DAY: Washington St +8.5
ASU is all about defense, Washington St is all about offense. The statistical difference in this game is staggering and it boils down to 1 thing = who controls the pace?
ASU does not have outstanding scoring, their guards are short 6'1, 6'2,6'3, 6'4, their lone prescence inside Duke transfer Eric Boateng has a whopping 12 pts in his last 3 games.
Washington St comes into this game 2-2 on the road, their 2 losses vs above average teams Kstate and Zaga, their last win a last second buzzer beater over Arizona. Their guards are taller, their inside prescence is a couple inches shorter than Boateng but is one of their top scorers and is more athletic, as long as he can stay on the floor.
Washington St's problem has been closing out games, their defense gets lax in the 2nd half, but after the Arizona game I'm looking for a more concentrated effort against a team they have not lost to since the conference tourney of 2006 and only 2x in the past 10 meetings. Asking AZ state to win by 9 on their home floor is quite a task, so if AZ State controls the pace, the scoring prowness of Washington St should keep this within the number.
Other plays:
Wash -2
Kansas -5
Pacific -1.5
SD -3.5
STM -13
Oregon -8
UNC -7.5
NBA: Cavs -5.5
NFL: Raves +4, Ravens U44, GB O48
sprinkle a little on Raves -3.5 +220, Raves -7.5 +450
