-Boston has a little bit of a reputation as a slow starter in marquee series like this. In 2023, the Celtics lost Game 1 against the Sixers as a 10-point home favorite in the Eastern Conference semifinals, then lost Game 1 against the Heat as a 7.5-point home favorite in the Eastern Conference Finals. In 2024, Boston needed overtime to get past Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals as a 9.5-point home favorite. Last year, Boston lost Game 1 to the Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals as a nine-point home favorite. Boston played at the slowest pace in the league this season which makes it harder to create the necessary separation for a spread like this. Play Philadelphia plus the points...........

Yea. This when severe depression sets in for an avid gambler like me. Can’t even get a good sport/ league to bet on !!!! 😂

San Antonio -11 (3x)
- This is likely going to be a series with some extreme outcomes. Portland has attempted the third-most three-pointers in the league this season, and the Blazers have the ability to turn this into a three-point shooting contest. In the Blazers' 115-110 upset of the Spurs in January, Portland shot 19-of-45 (42.2-percent) from the three-point line. If the strategy works, I wouldn't be shocked if the Blazers steal a game or two in this series. But if it doesn't work, those missed threes are going to turn into easy fast-break opportunities. For Game 1, I'm looking for the second option. Spurs get an easy one in the opener on a day with TWO 30+ point blowouts.
