Toronto playing at home. This is a huge plus for the total since Toronto has a tendency to get bogged down on the road.
With a Sunday sell out crowd HOPEFULLY the raptors will come out strong. Against Utah last Sunday they had a miserable 28 points in the first half.But they have always played slow against Utah. Against Philly the game is more up-tempo and I think Raptors will come out strong.
The total looks around 6-7 points less than what I had expected. Unless I am missing something I think that the Raptors will cover this total.
Davis has been playing strong ball. He has been scoring around 17-18 points in the last 4-5 games. Unfortunately he has not been getting the help from others and in the 80 points scored against Philly, the other Raptors had a terrible shooting night .. Alvin Williams, Leonard, Peterson and Jerome Williams combining for 14 of 57 Field Goal Attempts.
I dont think this will happen @ home against the same team. Raptors were leading Philly at the half by 3 and then lost so that shud be fresh in their mind. Look for the jump shooters to shoot well today. Jerome Williams is always a different person @ home and brings a lot of energy.
Also Raptors have been rebounding well on the offensive end and outrebounded Philly in the last game.
I think for all totals set around 178 the Over has hit in last 2-3 years. Means nothing but something to keep in mind.
Raptors have a very short bench now bcoz of all those injuries. But they have added Jermaine Jackson for the time being who is a shooting pointguard. With his addition at least some of the load is taken off Alvin Williams. Jackson is also a good shooter and scored 10 points in 18 minutes on the floor against Philly on friday.
I think Raptors score around 95 - 98 in this game.
