I have been doing well lately by taking team point totals. My ideas are based on shooting percentages for games. The last two games for a respective team.
For example,
The NBA average is about 43%
Dallas and Miami have shot 40 percent or under in both of their last two games. Based on the law of averages, I am taking both of them over for the team points for tonight.
Dallas over 100
Miami over 80
Conversely,
New Orleans and Houston have shot very well in both of their past two games. They are unders for tonight.
Houston under 90
New Orleans under 93
The best case is when a favorite is at home, and they are laying big wood. If the team has shot well in their past two games then they are a strong team under for the game. Their points are inflated due to home advantage and being a favorite.
