Cleveland at PHOENIX

CAVS were running and gunning last nite in SAC TOWN in a very entertaining game. JAMES looked like KING and shot very well surprisingly. I watched the game and liked what I saw out of CLEV last nite, but I'm sure the SUNS watched too. They led all but 46 SECONDS vs SPURS on opening nite, only to lose at the end and they have to be pissed! I see the SUNS coming out firing on CLEV tonite and building a big early lead. I think both teams will run and gun and this game will hit at least 195 before it's done. The first half should have the SUNS ahead comfortably at HT, I'd say by at least 12. I can see MARBURY and company putting it in with frequency tonite and leading at HT

Man, what a bummer. PHOE leads at HT by four, laid 5. Then, -5.5 for 2nd Half and they win by 9 to hook me! Why can't I get the stupid cheap foul by CLEV to get the cover??? :shrug: Tomorrow I will.... and I'll have the DOG!

Here's the plays from the HT thread:

ORL UNDER 90.5 * SINGLE *

Both teams shot around 40% in FH, nothing too great, but they managed to score 101 pts. Lots of trips to the line in this one so far, but both these teams played OT last nite. I gotta think the legs get a little tired later on in this game and both will be coming up short on the jumpers. ORL hasn't been fastbreaking at all, and I doubt if the HORNETS will get as many chances in 2nd Half. I'm taking the UNDER in this one taking the nice 6 pts extra off the closing line of 184.

HOUSTON -5 & OVER 88.5

Playing HOUSTON and OVER here since as noted, HOU managed 48 pts hitting only 38% from the field. Lots of FT's scored in this one and I expect the tired of legs of DENVER are gonna allow STEVIE WONDER to run and gun to a huge win here. I can see HOUSTON winning this game by at least 15 and hitting 100 for the nite. A final of 101-86 sounds about right....

Final in HOUSTON was 102-85! Nearly nailed IT!

PHOE -5.5 & UNDER 94.5

As noted, CLEV is looking tired and PHOE is the better team. SUNS are having fun running with the kids, but they will regroup at the half here and go to a more disciplined style of game. I think CLEV has one more good run in them, probably late 3rd or early 4th, and then it will be all PHOENIX after that. I already have OVER 188.5 in this game, I'm hoping I hit that, but I seriously think this game should have easily hit 110 before HT. Lots of bunnies missed by both teams.

I like what I see from CLEV, lots of energy and hustle, but it will catch up with them before this one is over....

Got PHOE -5.5 at -105 and UNDER 94.5 EVEN so I'm happy about that.

Seriously though, I wouldn't got too crazy on this one. It's been a pretty wild game so far and anything could happen. I've given you my take, I see SUNS winning this one by 12-15 pts and it ending up around 189. Final score: 101-88

Did all of you notice the tail off in 2Q???

Went from 61 in 1st Qtr to 41 in 2nd quarter... big dropoff. NOT saying they can't come back and hit another 60 in the third or 4th, but I think the 2nd quarter was a big indicator of what to expect in 2nd half.... food for thought! :shrug:
