MARYLAND ?8.5 - While NC Wilmington is usually one of my favorite schools to bet on, I just think that they are outclassed in here. Maryland finished the year at 19-9 despite the fact that Blake was the only returning starter from last year?s National Champions. They also went 11-6 in ACC play, winning by an average of 8.8 points. That average margin is right on par with today?s line, and it came vs. much stiffer competition that the Seahawks. Yes, Wilmington went 24-6 on the year, including an excellent 17-8 ATS. However, they play in a very weak conference, and the only 2 difficult non-conference opponents on their schedule were Texas Tech and Dayton. The Hawks lost both of those games by an average of 10.0 points, and we feel that Maryland is better than both of them.
