Wow, the season is finally here! Thank God for college football.
For those of you who don't know me, college football is by far my favorite sport, even though I played college basketball. I usually do pretty well in those two sports, although some years, including last year, I did really well in pro football as well. I usually win in pro baskets but nothing to brag about. This year is the first year since the summer of 1988, when I lost my ass, that I have wagered in baseball. I'd say I've held my own although I certainly haven't made anyone a ton of money.
I post my football plays all during the week, usually with write-ups on Thursday or Friday. I continue to add games thru Saturday, as late info comes to me. I rate my games 10*, 7*, and 5*, with an occasional 15* huge play or a 3* action game that I want to enjoy on TV.
I've been wagering on sports since 1982 and have generally done pretty well. I have losing weeks like everyone else, but overall you won't lose your ass following my plays. I recommend that you do your own handicapping, and use my plays to supplement your own insights and info.
In college ball I specialize in the SEC, ACC, Big East, and C-USA, although I know what is going on in other conferences. Take that for what it's worth.
I feel that I'm prepared for my best season ever, and I wish each and every one of you the very best. May we all earn a ton of dough!
5* Kansas St -27.5
Tried to hold off until the 30th but finally had to take this game. California lost 15 starters including many key players. They have two starters returning on defense, which is noteworthy in this opening game. Kansas St loves to blow out people. Quarterback Ell Roberson and RB Darren Sproles are as good as skill players get, and they were shining stars last year. The Wildcats outscored Big 12 teams by 31.4 points a game last season, and they won their last five conference games by a 253-30 margin. They won 9 games by more than 27.5 points. Like I said, they love blowouts, and I see no reason to worry about a backdoor cover in this one. Go with the Wildcats!
This first week is a little unusual in that we already have the lines for next week's games. I have taken advantage of a few early lines, and here are the plays I am already on. Write-ups and ratings on these games and probably others will be posted next Thursday. I always post the spreads I actually wagered, regardless of line movements, and I try to post them when those same lines are still available.
Auburn -3
Clemson +3.5
Miss St +5
Ole Miss -13
FSU -15.5
Good luck, guys! Let's get off to a flying start and increase our lead all year!
