OPINIONS (11-15)................just for fun, no units involved.
another decent week hitting best bet and both top plays and picked up 4.80 units. my record still sucks but i have showed some signs of coming out of this season long slump. was down over 21 units at one point.
as i stated before, i am usually very good in college football and suck in the nfl. this year i am doing just the opposite. i cannot remember the last time i finished on the plus side in the nfl. i am plus 8.50 units in the pros, so i am only down three units all together. i consider myself lucky to be only that seeing how this year has went so far.
indiana +4 over penn state (best bet).............i thought becuase penn state was favored last week vs norhtwestern that they might win that game. penn state is really a bad offensive team and paterno should hang it up, although he won't. penn state at this point should not be favored on the road vs just about anybody. i can't imagine either team scoring very much. penn state does have a pretty good defense. this has a 10-7...13-10 type of game written all over it. grab the points at home. it will win.
michigan state +7.5 over wisconsin (top play)............just a strong gut feeling on this one. wiscy getting alot of press lately adn rightfully so, they are that good. but winning on the road in the big ten is not easy. mich state is capable of giving anybody a game on their home field. i don't see wisconsin losing this game, but i do see them getting lucky to pull it out. grab the 7.5 home dog.
texas a&m -2.5 over texas tech (top play)...........another shootout i think in the big 12 conference. the aggies are not the aggies of old, but they are getting close again. they are headed in the right direction. home field the huge difference in this one. the aggies will outscore them here. 42-31.
pittsburgh +10.5 over notre dame (regular play).............i am a pitt fan. i thought pitt would suck this year and after the first couple of games i still thought that. even though from a weak conference, i have to give them credit for hanging in there. they are playing good football. i think notre dame is one of those teams that always plays a bad game when you don't expect them to. after winning last week at tennessee you would think they have some momentum going and blow out pitt. this might be a letdown for them coming home and playing pitt. pitt sneaks within the number and who knows, maybe even pulls the shocker.
nebraska +30 over oklahoma (regular play)............yes, the sooners could easily blow them out. but this is ou/nebraska and nebraska has shown some signs of not sucking this year. they will be up for this one and i will take the generous 30 points.
