Just a note on the kent-NILL game, Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that NIU lost both starting RB's against EMU and they are both more than likely out for the kent game. This may not matter since Kent has not shown the ability to stop anyone's run game all year!

L'Ville- Last year 70-7 or something like that against Cincy. Ville coming off a big loss, Cincy worse than last yr.

leans: California, K-State, UCLA(stumbled out of the gate last wk, escaped with win, will be more focused at home this week.)

Got Rutgers at -1.5 waited too long but now the line is at 3.

AR,

Followed your lead and got on Troy at 47.5

OKIEST may be a winner since ISU is pretty banged up on the offensive side, but why do you like TXTECH? IMO they are not nearly as strong as a team as they were last year and the Horns mauled them last year when Tech had a much better team

had a big play on wake forest against bc and cashed easily but want no part of the deacons this week after they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in boston this weekend. have to wonder if theyre gonna have anything in the tank, especially after the rain-soaked game that shoulda been an upset. their final minute fold job to piss away the outright win was inexcusable, and i think that carries over to this week.
i hope you are right. i like state in first half also. the pack defensive line will make the difference if they play a smart game and not jump offsides 6 times

Lowell,

On paper NCST should beat Wake 9 out of 10 times, but to expect perhaps the dumbest team in the country to not commit penalties may be asking for too much. For some reason since early in the 2003 season this team has always committed the dumbest penalties and turned the ball over at the worst times and in my opinion this is a reflection of Amato. I can't dispute that Amato has perhaps been the best coach at NCST since Lou Holtz (although Sheridan is close) if you base everything on wins and losses, but his teams continue to underachieve in my opinion due to lack of discipline. This may be their week since they play an equally inept team that is perhaps the worst defensive team in the ACC and cannot stop any ball thrown through the air and has a brutal special teams.

U 51 in the Clemson/Temple game. Clemson has an above average Defense, Whitehurst and Co. are good but not great, and is Temple even capable of putting up 14?

just another note on the Kent-NILL game:

even though NILL will be less than 100% in their backfield it may be offset now that Kent has lost their top tackler for the season and I believe that he had the second most tackles in the country this year.

Wow the total on Smiss and UAB has shot about 5.5 points since it opened, what did each teams defense come down with food poisoning?

CFU and Tulane has been moved to Friday due to Wilma

Hard to believe but I think I found a team thats dumber then NCST and that would be UAB! With the UAB loss I drop to 1-1 on the week and 58-55 on the season.

NCST-2 Double
I must be a sado masicist to back this team again but they have loads more talent here and I have a feeling that Amato is coaching for his survival.

Rutgers-1.5 Double
Played this one early in the week but still think the Knights can pull this one out on the road due to the injuries on the offensive side of the ball for UCONN which should make them pretty one dimensional today.

NW 0ver70 Single
Should resemble a arena football game! I know for a fact that NW will not be able to stop Stanton pretty much the whole day and I am hoping the NW will be able to at least put up 28 in this game

Iowa-2 Single
How can you go against the home streak here and toss on the fact that Mich defense is banged up.

Indiana +16 Single
OSU pretty much owns Indiana but this is strictly a stats play as they are nearly even in overall stats. Also, I feel Indiana has a coaching edge but they due to lack depth and have a huge deficit on defense.

Vandy+8 Single
USC's pass defense is brutal so Cutler should have a field day.

Baylor under 40.5 Single

Kent +10.5 Single
Flashes are not nearly as bad as their record indicates and this should be a high scoring affair.

Houston under 50 Double
Agree with Joede on this one, statistically these teams are pretty much in a dead heat and this should be a close hard fought game.

BYU over 56.5 Single
Too solid passing teams that both have terrible pass defenses

Tulsa -14.5 Single

Bama under 38.5 Single

Purdue over 60 Double

BG over 66
Most likely game of the week to be a high scoring affair

UCLA-9.5
Hate to lay these many points with a bad defense but the Bruins should roll today

Rice +8 Single

Marshall +14
Stat play

I like the ARKSTplay but was holding off to see if the line falls. The only problem I see with the Navy over is that the clock is not going to stop much during te day because neither team can pass. I have Georgia winning by 20.
