2006 record: 1-1-1, -$4

Michigan -26.5 (Van.), -110, 165/150
-------- I think Michigan is going to flatten Vandy. Not really much to add.

Houston -14.5 (Rice), -109. 109/100
---- Many simple reasons... Houston is a very solid team who I expect to have much success this year. They will put up some points.
Rice is making a dramatic offensive philosophy change, and I expect them to be AWFUL from the outset and only mildly better as the season goes on. I think they get crushed in this one.

Marshall +22.5 (@WV), -110, 55/50
--- I think Marshall can hang in there with WVU and keep this one at least semi-respectable... These guys grew up wanted to play in Morgantown, and will play hard.

Washington -19.5 (SJSU), -110, 110/100
---- Washington is very undervalued coming into the year... I think they can challenge for a bowl bid this year... they are playing a team that is one of the 4 or 5 least talented teams in D-1A at home...
I am picking far too many big favs this week for my tastes, but I also think the Huskies roll.

Oklahoma -23 (UAB), -105, 105/100
---- Last big favorite for the day... Oklahoma is going to be VERY good this year, regardless of quarterback. Peterson dices up the Blazers... just warry of a backdoor.

Indiana -6.5 (WMU), -111, 111/100
---- An example of a much overrated (WM) team against a much underrated team (IU).
IU will not overlook WMU, as this is a game they can win and with Hoepners background.
I think Indiana will be able to get there yards through the air today.

I like a handfull more games tomorrow... will post them more plays tomorrow as the games get going... Most are dogs... hopefully to turn around my amatuer backing of most early favs... :scared

Good luck, guys.

A couple more before I head off to Memorial Stadium to watch the Jayhawks...

What a tough Michigan/Vandy game... Ugh... so many missed opportunities by Michigan to get the cover there... ughh... I guess that is the risk you take taking the big favorite...

Utah St. +12.5 (@Wy.), -101, 101/100
---- I think Joe Glenn's star has kind of faded... I think Utah St. is more talented than people think, and it wouldn't shock me to see an upset here. I think the points are very generous.

Tennessee +3 (Cal.), -105, 52.50/50... Ten. ML +135, 50/67.50
---- I guess I will be the square on this one... evidently going up against public money and smart money... I think Cal is overrated... and Tennessee should be back... I think they keep the ball on the ground and control the tempo of the game and get the 'upset' to start off the year.

Oregon -11.5 (Stan.), +101, 50.50/50
--- Too tempting, here. Oregon is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year, and I think they blow Stanford out today, in Jonathon Stewart's coming out party.

Arkansas +8 (USC), -110, 110/100, Ark. ML +250, 20/50
---- Love Arky here. They will be playing hard, they have installed a new offense, and they have a year more experiance, as last year they were very young.
I think they get the upset here... or at least stay close enough to have the opportunity.

Florida Atlantic +28.5 (@Clem.), -101, 50.50/50
----- I dont think Clemson will take this game seriously... And FAU is good enough passing the ball to get a couple TD's on the board and stay within this number...

I wont play this many games the rest of the season... but I think there is value to be had on Week 1. GL guys.

Sorry... forgot to post one...

Pittsburgh -4 (Vir.), -110, 55/50
--- Pitt. will be much improved this year... and Virginia lost a lot. I think Pitt. wins this one by double digits.

Alright fella's I'm off to the stadium. Happy Saturday! Football's back! :SIB
