Kansas St -5 1/2 (MacGruder goes off vs Explorers, Weber typically get his teams thru the first round as a small fav (At least he did at Illinois, difference will be the "D" that K State plays, K St by 8)

Saturday March 23

Michigan St -5 1/2 :00hour (bought down the hook, State basically playing in their backyard, better up front and in the back court, Memphis will come out strong and peter out in the 2nd half)

VCU +3 1/2  (Michigan with injured Burke don't have a chance, sorry Wolverine backers, VCU tenacious defense will go for the jugular in this tilt and #5 over the #4 isn't that big of an upset, VCU wins by 7 easy)

Over 134 1/2 CSU/L"ville :00hour (Dorian Green is a vital part of Rams "O" & "D" and Ville will come out strong with pressure, big kids upfront for CSU may give Ville fits and get in the put backs, UL 74 CSU 66)

Syracuse -7 1/2 (Cuse guards and athletic front line too much for stiff CAL, Bears HC Monty 3-8 ATS in 2nd rd NCAA trny, Boeheim knows how to get his kids to play hard and keep it going)

AZ -10 :00hour (OK Harvard you had your win vs NM, now the quick twitch athletes get it going here, Wildcats and their guards will wear Crimson down quickly and light up the outside, AZ by 15)

Oregon +4 :00hour (Ducks vs smaller Billikens, this line should be much higher than 4 pts, Ducks win outright and screw up my sweet 16 bracket)

Marquette -2 (PUSH) (MarQ remembers the buzzer beater Butler put on them in pre-season tourney, guards for MarQ will get it going after lackluster effort vs Davidson, Butler had their shot and in their 2nd rd games just 1-2, and 0-2 getting less than 6 pts)

Over 133 Hah-vawd/Zona :banghead:

Over 127 Cal/Sillycuse

GL!!

Sunday Madness

Sunday Madness

4-4-1 on Saturday, losing Syracuse by a couple sloppy plays late and an almost BDC on it, but a loss is a loss is a loss!! LOL

Up studying most of the evening, these lines are sharper than on Saturday from the oddsmakers, but some interesting trends could be good plays today with all the matchup tie ins. Some of these games are complete mismatches of height, shooting ability, depth, defense, etc., the matchups are there, let's see who really shows up though.

Duke -4 1/2 (Blue Devils too big and too many weapons vs Jays who are limited to McDermott and Gibbs from the outside, they have some speed with their lil guard, but Curry or Suliamon should keep him at bay, no one really to matchup on Plumlee, Echy can try and put his goggles on him, but Plumlee moves a lot quicker than what Echy is used to, Kelly gives Duke the outside presence that the Jays have in McD, but in the end, experience in the tourney, ACC should give a 7-8 pt win over the Jays who did play a pretty good schedule beating the Wisky Badgers and Shockers, but lost horribly to St Mary's in the Bracket Buster)

San Diego St -7 (Aztecs under Fish are the play here only because of experience and yeah, FGC beat a #2 and they are high on it and have moved onto focus on this matchup, but the Aztecs have a totally different style than the one dimensional scoring of Otto Porter, Aztecs can rebound and play "D" and good at ORB margin vs their opponents. Fish's teams are 3-1 ATS in 2nd round of tourney and I like the Aztecs to wear down Downtown Brown and the big white boys up front in the 2nd half, SDSU 77 FGC 65)

Iowa St +7 1/2 :00hour (Like the hook here, this could be one of the most entertaining games of the day, Buckeyes play "D" and ISU shoots from trey land, Freddy Hoy-boygh vs Matta, court favors instate Buckeyes, trend favors ISU as 2nd rd teams under Matta are just 3-6 ATS whereas ISU a #10 seed are 5-0 vs an opp of B2B SUATS wins, Buckeyes won B10 last Sunday vs Wisky and won their first round game easily vs Iona, Ohio St 71 ISU 67)

Miss -3 1/2 (bought down the hook, another trend play and also fact SEC plays well in tourneys in 2nd rd, yeah LaSalle is playing the VCU role here for the A-10 which I feel is over-rated and they have a big kid in the middle, Ole Miss is physical and has their lil ADHD kid in Eminem who had an off game last game out vs Wisky and he should have his shooting edge back on track with a game under his belt, #13 or lower seeds are just 9-25-1 in the 2nd rd of the tourney)

Under 144 1/2 LaSalle/Miss (Both teams played low scoring first round, this line is off 15-18 pts, Ole Misss 67 LaSalle 60)

Miami -7 1/2 (Illinois has two key offensive players, Miami has several they can go to, mismatch here is "D" that Hurricanes play vs scattered offensive inconsistency of Illini (Paul for one), Kadji & Old Man River Gamble, Reggie Johnson may have a game that he's capable of if he has pushed himself away from the buffet line at Golden Corral, UM has 4 returning starters from last year and these guys have played great when all of them have been together this year, McK & Scott are two guys that can give Illini fits and who is going to stop Larkin? Illini returned 4 starters as well, but new coach and their style favors Miami's matchups, Miami should win by 10 or more here, UM 77 ILL 67)

Over 128 Illini/Miami

Over 123 Minn/Fla (Tubby vs his ol' SEC foe, Donovan, I've been a Tubby basher for years, but let me tell you, when Tubby's teams get this far in the season, he plays in tourney's a lot better than on the road in conference, Fla on the road the complete opposite this year, both teams feature quick guards and a defensive stopper, Fla with Young and Minn with Robinson, this game should go back and forth, I have the line off by 13 pts, this also could be a huge upset today, #11 vs #3, FLA 70 MISS 67)

Could another #1 go down today? KU or Indiana? Quite possibly, KU looked ahead vs WKU to play UNC? Maybe the players did but Billy "Himself" Self didn't and Roy's team will crave being the UD on the road and playing in KC will favor Kansas, but UNC @ KC is 7-1 last 8 ATS!! No play for me, would lean towards the dog to cover, but 6 pts is a bit low? I guess Gonzaga was a bit low too at -6 vs the Shockers? We shall see!! Late game should be entertaining as well!

GL today whichever games you pick and choose!!

FGC vs SDS

FGC vs SDS

I don't get this line and the movement, 72% on FGC but only a 1/2 to 1 full pt drop, my play is Aztecs, but what do I know, all I do know is the guards for the Aztecs are quicker and more physical than what FGC has faced, even their game vs G'town, G'town flat out got out played on the boards, as their big men got lazy and Otto couldn't hit the side of the backboard, the Aztecs clean the boards well and size wise match up very well vs FGC.

This is ol' school vs new school in coaches and ol' schools' hard nosed players get 'er done by 8-10, me hopes!!

Can't wait to watch this one!

Oh one other pt to make, last year #15 Lehigh beat #2 Duke and their next game as a #15 money, cinderella story, got beat by Xavier, X was giving just 4 and won by 12 over Lehigh, similarities in X and SDS and many similarities with FGC & Lehigh, FGC's Brown can be the poor man's version of Lehigh's guard who was out their last few games this year.

Let the popcorn start poppin and the ice machine start cranking up some bubblies!!

Later!

Adding: I know a glutton for my own jinx on added plays but here goes it!

North Carolina +6 1/2 (#1 seed goes down in their back yard almost, 50 miles away, UNC redeems regional final loss last year by 13 to KU, returning players want this one and it will be an all out war on the court, Whithey, I always want to call him "Wiffey" will get into foul trouble with the running of the heels in the paint, trey land opps for 3 players will keep KU at bay, PJ, Reggie and lil Page, game will be decided by free throws and turnovers, just feel it's that time of yr for the HEELS to get some payback, and I have this as a 5 pt game max, KU 77 UNC 72, error of margin 2 pts)

GO HEELS!!

Sweet 16

Sweet 16

Wow, these numbers are kwayyyy-zee that Vegas put out!!

A few plays come out but first, last year in Sweet 16 with only 8 games of course, Dogs 6-2 of which 2 won straight up, only dd fav won but failed to cover in OT, that was UNC over OH-HI-OH! In 2011 Sweet 16, Dogs 5-3, all 5 dog covers won outright!!

Food for thought!!

This years Regionals feature no team playing in their home state, Louisville & Mich State playing close to home in Indy. Arizona is in LA and you have LaSalle from extreme east (Philly) and two midwest teams, Ohio St & Witchy Poo State from the midwest. Again no home court help!!

With all that said teams with the best guard chemistry and "D" of the remaining 16 teams the last 4 years, if a Dog, 4-0 Straight up winners.

It's way too premature to put plays in now unless you really feel confident that the number you are getting today isn't going to swing your way before Thurs & Friday.

My plays up later on Wednesday at the latest!!

GL ya'll!!

Sweet 16

Sweet 16

Syracuse +5 1/2 :00hour (Indiana has trouble vs athletic teams like Syracuse, big guards and nimble, quick, front line guys, such as Sutherland, matchups favor the quicker Syr club and this one could end with a buzzer shot)

MarQ +5 1/2 :00hour (Q's guards are quick and savvy, vs quick, savvy and long Cane guards, front line of Q can shoot throws, Canes front line sucks at throws, this number is pretty close, I have Miamah winning by 3, but feel this one comes down to a free-throw contest in DC)

Arizona +4 :00hour (bought the hook back, Cats are very quick and have some athletic big men to match the Buckeyes front, Johnson for Cats will be key here, Matta just 1-3 ATS in Sweet 16 contests, Cats are 10-3 when total is between 130-139 1/2 on the season ATS)

LaSalle +4 :mj1: (Bought the hook, Explorers big man moves quick and very accurate in put backs, the guards stepped up big time vs Sippi slackers last game out and are turning heads like VCU did when they went as a playin to the final 4 a few years back, Both teams coached very well, both teams deep at guard strength, difference here is shooting% and I have Shoquerz front line shooting a bit better than the LaSally's overall front line and x-factor could be Cleanthony in this tilt and the Witchy State "D", but this is an even matchup, WSU 69 LaS 67)

Over 134 1/2 LaSalle/Wich St :mj1: missed by a trey

Over 127 MarQ/MF :00hour

Over 127 1/2 Oregon/Lville :00hour

Duke -2 :00hour (Duke's veteran leadership and guard play, deep bench vs State's x's and o's (not kisses and hugs folks) HC Izzo, tough tough matchp, Duke holds a 6-1 SU mark vs MSU and I feel their big men in Plum-like-a ballerina and Ryan "Irish" Kelly will have big nights for Dukey vs Paine and battler Nix who will get into foul trouble often vs the big men, I have Duke winning by 4)

Kansas -1 :mj1: (bought down the hook, yeah, public money on Michigan and Coach "B", but you can't deny the Wiffy man in the middle, who intimidated the Heels going down the stretch of the 2nd half on Sunday, Mich has their own big man in the middle who is physical and that matchup will be critical in who does what in this game, guard play of Relaford and J-Hawk phenom McClemore should get the job done vs savvy Wolverine guards, KU is 2-0 SU vs big Blue and both teams are 6-1 and 6-0 respectively on the neutral sites this year, I have KU winning by 3 in this tilt)

L'ville -9 1/2 :sadwave: (bought back the hook, just feel the guard play and defense of the Cards is better than the overall play of the #12 seeded Quak attack and the 2nd half will play out who is going to win this game and by how much, Smith & Company for Cards are bit more physical and better overall shooters than Quackers back court and Deng is the x-factor in this matchup, but we have to remember Hancock can shoot from trey land and he's much better and stronger than Singler of Oregon, Cards should win this one by 11)

FLA GC +13 1/2 :00hour (bought the extra hook, the cinderella darling of the NCAA tourney and the team getting the most press/media coverage will be scrapping and clawin vs the Gator front men, Young and Murph-ball, factors that will be critical will be how well the guards for FGC play vs the quick guards of Wilbekin, Rosario and Boynton, I have Gators winning by 8-10 in this one,. #3 seed in tourney is also just 2-11 ATS off BB SUATSW, FGC 6-0 on Neutral courts, 4-0 in tourney play this yr, 2-0 in NCAA trny, FLA 74 FGC 63)

Over 133 Fla/FGC
