I'll be back later once I sure up my picks. Really just one lean tonite.

Just wanted to throw out there my sleeeeeeper longshot NCAA champion future bets:

Georgia Tech 250-1

Hawaii 275-1

Made a small play on both because you just never know, and at those odds... :SIB

And the odds aren't worthy enough IMO to place a future bet, but I am pretty confident that West Virginia is playing for the National Title this year.

Good luck to everyone this year

I really think this GT team is capable of making some noise in the national championship picture. Their schedule consists of some big names in down years and their most difficult games are at home. They get Georgia, Va Tech, BC and Clemson all at home and their most difficult road games are @ Miami and saturday nite @ Notre Dame. I believe both are very winnable. But it all starts w/ the Irish. If GT doesn't win this game, then all of my hypothesizing about them being a contender can be thrown right out the window. I don't base my plays on trends but here are a few favorable trends supporting the yellow jackets...

GT is 7-3-1 ats over the last 3 years as a road dog.

GT is 5-2-1 ats over the last 3 years vs. non-conference teams.

GT has won its 1st road game the last 3 years, all vs. ranked opponents (Va Tech, Clemson, Auburn)

ND is 4-8 ats as a home favorite under Charlie Weis

ND is 7-10-1 ats as a favorite under Charlie Weis

ND was 2-7-1 ats vs. non-independent teams last year

locked this one in last week...

this is from an article that I posted a few weeks back...

O-line issues on Georgia's mind

The Georgia Bulldogs offense could get out of the gates in low gear this season. There are many problems with the offensive line, mainly due to a lack of experienced players.

Mentally, O-line is one of the most demanding positions on the field and with four true or redshirt freshmen playing on the first unit, it?s no wonder that the offense was incapable of going anywhere in the first scrimmage of camp last week.

"We had a big discussion as a team about having a lot of missed assignments," offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said. "Not knowing what to do is hindering our effort. We are not playing hard. A lot of it has to do with the youth. There are freshmen everywhere. [But] you can't make excuses. They are going to play."

The situation will improve somewhat when senior Chester Adams returns from a minor ankle injury, but the Bulldogs still have only eight scholarship offensive linemen to work with. This could be an issue that may frustrate Georgia backers throughout the season.

now that can't bode well for the Dawgs. combine that with Oklahoma State returning their entire LB core and secondary from last years team, including their top 7 tacklers.

on the other side of the ball, Okie State returns some potent offensive weapons at the skill positions. Georgia returns only 4 defensive starters...

also locked this one in last week...

You sure are getting some nice numbers. My main offshore has Notre Shame -1 and Oklahomo State +6

I said that I locked them in last week, but yeah, considering what is out there now, those are nice numbers, I know

My capping is somewhat based on monitoring line movement. I took a chance that those lines would move out of my favor and it turns out they did. I also paid -120 juice on both.
