I lean to appy state. LSU should move football at will, but appy st should find room in the inexperienced defiensive backfield. 34-17:shrug:

I agree in a game like this you have to take the points or not play at all, but I've seen too many games where LSU wins 41-10 without breaking a sweat to give it much consideration.

Size alone on the lines would indicate that you'll be able to run at will. No doubt the Tigers can score 35 or more if interested, but does Appy get in the end zone twice? Guess that's the big question.

Since you know way more about LSU than I ever will: Is Miles the type that will play this very close to the vest and not show much of the playbook? If he's going to view this as the scrimmage that it really is and build into the season, then this is a lot of points and a 35-14 score might be a reality. Tough for me to gauge from the outside looking in.

I think based on the lack of game experience at QB that Miles will open up the offense slowly with high % passes and plenty of running.

The key to LSU's success the past several seasons is Tommy Moffit, Strenth & Conditioning Coordinator. The man has won 4 national titles (2 before arriving at LSU). The conditioning and team strength on this team is awsome, and they are breaking individual and team lifting records on a yearly basis*. I feel this is why LSU has disposed of lesser opponents recently. Even though I am looking for Appy St to stay within the number, I would not be surprised in a blowout for this reason. Size and particularly strength on both LSU lines should be tough on Appy St.

Deep in the heart of Texas
Cie,

Love the first two picks. FAU may work also, but keep in mind that Schnelenberger has done more to fire up UT, than Mac Brown ever could. His comment that Texas is not a very physical team is posted in multiple places in the locker room. He may be right, but in view of the UT pathetic home opener last year against Arky St., my money is on Tx -23.5.

Good luck this season, and thanks for posting.

Cie, love reading your posts. Always well thought out and intelligent.

Look forward to another great season of college football and hopefully a fat wallet along the way. :00hour

You are the man, Rolltide. Try not to get sucked in by the DVLSU's of the world:toast:

OK
Cie, always pay special attention to your picks and
almost always put at least a little something on
games I would never even think of. I'm thinkin of
only two plays week one, Okie ST and Fresno.
What ya think. I'm looking at others but set a
rule for myself not to go ape chit the first two
weeks. I'm already locked into Okie St :SIB

OKLA State is my top play this weekend, even though OSU has had problems on the road in the past , think Gundy has them ready this time Offense is solid (love that QB) and D should be better, Tell me more about Fresno

Thanks, gents.

I pressed ECU to 2 units.

Also added:

Idaho +27 -105 x1

Have to take a shot fading Zona as a 4 Td fav.
I realize Idaho has no D, but what D does Zona have? At least idaho will return to their preferred 4-3 scheme, from what I picked up from Blue Ribbon. Offensively, both teams return everyone, with a clear edge to Zona. Idaho QB appears to have had a good offseason, and boy did he need it. I feel Idaho can score enough, 20 points, to stay within the number.
