I'm sure that I echo the sentiment of so many others on this board when I say that I'm glad that football season is here and in full tilt. I look forward to being a contributing part of this forum whenever I can. I will say that I tend to bet for several days at a time and then go on haitus. That's all part of working full time and trying to go back to college :scared. I want to thank so many of you for posting your picks as they have been very helpful to me in the past. So thanks :em71:

Now for this weekend. I doubt that I will add anything as I will most likely not be around the computer until Sunday or Monday for that matter.

OHIO team total U 17 (-115) 230/200
--While I don't believe that Pitt's D is great, I do think that they can keep the 'cats under 10.

PITT - 14 (-110) 330/300
--I understand that Ohio does have a pretty good defense. Pitt however got their tails' whooped last weekend and Tyler 'The F Bomb" Palko will be looking to get on track against a weaker opponent. Too many tangibles for me not to take Pitt.

Pitt 27 Ohio 7

Eastern Michigan -6 (-110) 550/500
-played this one a couple of days ago. Something just screams EAGLES to me. This team has quite the offense (when it shows up). As many of the MAC people on this forum can tell you, Sherrell, Bohnet, and Deslauriers are a good 3-some. This game could be high scoring depending on what La-Laf can do with the ball. To me, the only thing that kills this play are the Eagles.

TCU -14 (-120) 360/300
This very well could be a letdown game for the Horned Frogs. Last week was bigtime for their program. They did the improbable in stuffing Peterson all day long.

Tomorrow's game is essentially a home game for these both of these teams. SMU has bettered their offense a bit, but TCU is still solid on D. TCU covered a 22 pt spread last season 44-0. I don't think it will be that bad this year. SMU should score no more than 14.

TCU 34 SMU 14

Stanford -3 (110) 220/200
I really don't have too much to offer on this game. The line has stuck with me all week so I thought that I'd play it. Not something that I would recomend to others, but something I have to do for the sake of gut instinct I guess.

Good luck to everyone on the board this weekend.

Didn't think that I would get to a computer but had to come in to work this morning :cursin:

Wannstedt is a joke. I think he believes that he still has Ricky Williams running the ball.

ADDING:

OHIO ST Team Total U 24 (115) 460/400
This game should be a battle of two strong defenses. OSU has what are believed to be the best core of LBs in the country, and UT will try and prove that tha beating Michigan was no fluke.

N.E. Ohio
I'm on EMU pretty strong as well, Too many playmakers on the field in Columbus for me to play Ohio State under. A Special team TD is always a good possibility for the Buckeyes.

good call on ohio team total under 17. ohio's offense was under 10 points, thats for sure. unfortunately for pitt, the best offense for ohio...was a good defense (or at least exceptional play from byrum). fwiw, conner (true frosh) should start in backfield again for emu. best of luck drew.

Thanks Spang and gman2. You men certainly know your MAC and do a great job of capping.

Spang, I believe that a special teams TD will be the only thing to kill this. I have a low scoring game with UT winning, but for me, worst case in a higher scoring game is UT 27 OSU 20. Very good point though.
