Season 10-5-2 +4.2 units

Off to a slight above average start for the season, nothing really stands out in tonights game. I am going to again play on the anti-new coach philosphy tonight which leads to a small 1 unit play on the Beavers. Just my thought but when a seasoned coach matches up against a rookie in his opening game then the odds favor the seasoned vet as long as there is not a huge mismatch between the squads. I anticipate that Riley will run Bernard as much as possible tonight behind potentially the top offensive line in the PAC 10 and try to keep Moore out of situations where he might force the ball. Nothing huge here just a small one unit play on the Beavers at 8!

Good Luck Cappers!!!

Yikes!!! Is Oreg State soft up the gut or what! I know Boise loves to bang and has begun to play smash mouth football in the last couple of years, but Riley should be embarassed with the showing of his squad last night. At this point I have watched five PAC 10 teams play this year and other then USC and Zona they were all soft on the interior lines. I watched Cal get dismantled against a physically superior Vol team, OSU get out muscled and pushed around by Boise and Wazzou get absolutely manhandled in the trenches by Auburn. I am thinking about trying a system of playing against any PAC 10 team on the road that is facing a team that can physically dominate the interior and control the ground game. This theory is in line with the old school days of playing against and SEC team on the road when facing a strong passing attack, that theory went out the window when Spurrier began to change the ways of thinking in the SEC. Oh well, enough of my rant but tonights game is a coin flip IMO when factoring in the line at 8! You can pick your poison here as I believe that Pitt has never won on the road under Wanny and they are 0-4 in short week games. Whereas Cinci is using a two headed QB system which usually spells trouble as the QB is not allowed to get a feel for the game and is always looking over his shoulder. I am passing this game and going to play a baseball game instead, but good luck to anyone whom plays this one.
