The Huskers played great against a great defense in a hostile environment last week totally out?stat?ing the Aggies. But how great is the Aggies defense which has now allowed 85 points in two games? And how tough is Kyle Field if three teams have come out of College Station with victories this year.

Nebraska found it?s running game last week, but the Horns have played well this season on their defense in all their games except Oklahoma. And despite the appearance of a lackluster effort last week against Iowa State, the Longhorns were able to put together two 80-yard drives when the game was on the line.

For all the mistakes Simms seems to make, Jammal makes more. Nebraska?s offensive errors will take them out of the game in this one.

Georgia -1 5 units

Seems to me that it will be a lot easier for Dawg fans to pony up the cash this week to get tix for the game in Jacksonville. The SEC East championship awaits if they can handle Florida. This is the game that has seemed out of reach no matter how well the Bulldogs played, how well they recruited, they couldn?t get to the next level.

Georgia comes in with key injuries, but Grossman?s knee will be the injury that matters the most. With an offensive line as inconsistent as the Gators and an immobile Quarterback, it doesn?t seem plausible that the Gators will be able to sustain any drives.

Florida State -10 5 units

Tough to swallow backing the Seminoles again this week as they took a lot of cash from me last week, but Chris Rix will be the reason that they win this game. Not that Rix will play any significant time, but the players have a chance to prove that the disappointing season has been the fault of the QB. Rix is only helping matters by taking pot shots back at his teammates that have called him out. Bottom Line: Last game or this season isn?t Rix?s fault. If his receivers can catch balls that hit them in the hands, the Noles would have been blowing the Irish out of the Stadium by the time the Noles folded. But when a Golden Boy sits in place of the player?s choice, good things always happen. Expect Florida State to play with more discipline and much better execution.

Mississippi State +5 5 units

Who is Kentucky to be laying points on the road in the SEC. I realize that Mississippi State is having their second straight down year, but they have always been effective in a dog role (21-15 since 1995) and were 4-0 as dogs after November last year as everyone had given up on the program.

UK coach has already told MSU through his meetings with the press this week that he plans to run the football at them as State has had trouble handling the run this season, but their 4.0 yards/rush against average has come through awful games against Oregon, LSU, and Auburn, teams that have offensive lines and backs geared for a running game. I look for them to be much more stout against the Wildcat front 5.
