Opening Night - 2-3:sadwave:
-$120

Fawking Utes going to OT. I guess it is appropriate that you get screwed on opening night.

Thoughts on last night:
1 - South Carolina has a legit shot to win the SEC East. They now have a running back in Lattimore that will have a little room to run. Defense still looks good and has Garcia finally matured? Me thinks they give UGA a beat down next week.

2 - Don't give up on Pitt. Lord knows how many times Wanny has screwed the pooch, but they have three weeks until they play Miami - New Hampshire and an off week - and I personally thought the QB looked pretty good. Lewis will not be shut down every week.

3 - No love for the Utes? Everyone talking about Boise and TCU, but Utah gets both TCU and BYU at home, where they haven't lost since 2007. Only tough road games at Air Force and Notre Dame?

4 - Thank you daddy? Good ole Monte only allowed 36 points and 588 total yards to Hawaii, who BTW had all of 5 returning starters on offense. Hawaii only scored more points than this twice last year - vs Utah St. and at Wash. St. who combined, won 5 games last year. There may be some USC totals in the 80s.

5 - Wilcox in, Monte out, a good thing? Many here in Vol nation were scared to death of the Justin Wilcox hire, but last year at Hawaii, Boise allowed only 300 yards and 9 points. Not saying it's going to be a great season here, but maybe all is not so bad.

Back later for Saturday's games:00hour

2-3 -$120 YTD

2 unit plays
Nebraska -37
Mich. St. -23-

1 unit plays
Clemson -27-
Oklahoma -33-
FLA -38

Whole lotta chalk there, but just cannot see at least three of these not hitting.

1/2 unit plays
Arky St. +31-
ULL +32 (no AJ Green, may upgrade this one. I think this line is wayyyy off, but public still killing UGA)
Kansas St. -1 (-120)
KSU/UCLA un 45 (-120)
UConn +3- (-120)

1 unit line move plays - I kept up with this for a while last year and it did fairly well. This is where the public money pours one way and the line moves the other.
Illinois +12
Vandy +4 (-120)

Will continue to monitor Fresno as it may be a play

8-9 (Line move plays 2-0 and really 3-0 but won't count Fresno since I was too lazy to post)
+$80

Hit the two big ones and both system plays, so will always take a profit after week one.

Thoughts after Saturday:

1 - Still need to wait At least a week to see if Michigan has really improved that much. Robinson definitely looks like a Rich Rod QB, but UConn fumbled in the red zone late to give them some help and BK will put up more of a fight me thinks.

2 - Les Miles - Can still manage to fawk up a wet dream.

3 - SEC East - Will have a new champ this year and it could be decided next week. UGA looked very good and surprised the hell out of me, but I still think the ole ball coach might get him one this year.

4 - The Big 12 - Is absolutely out of their damn minds if they don't get TCU and Boise to join the conference.

5 - Ole Miss - :mj07: :mj07:

6 - Kansas - :mj07: :mj07:

7 - Oklahoma - Still have no idea what Phil Steele was smoking picking them to play Ohio St. in the title game.

8 - Dan Mullen - will not be at Miss. St. very long. Sorry Corley, but he may be the next HC at Florida.

9 - Vegas - still knows what they are doing. See Northwestern, Cincy, and Mizzou as examples.

10 - Oregon - Please take it easy on my Vols next week:0008

Hope you're wrong Skip!!

Trust me, I hope I'm wrong too. It wasn't like he took over a decent Miss. St. offensive team, they sucked, and he has them scoring at will? I know it was Memphis blah blah blah - it would not surprise me at all if they are 4th in the west ahead of LSU and Ole Miss.

The offense looked good yesterday... I was more impressed with the D and how improved Tyler Russell looked.

8-9 +$80

1/2 unit plays
Maryland +7 (-120)
VT -1 (somewhat of a line move play, but I want to see Boise's defense without Wilcox)
