Opening Night - 2-3:sadwave:
-$120
Fawking Utes going to OT. I guess it is appropriate that you get screwed on opening night.
Thoughts on last night:
1 - South Carolina has a legit shot to win the SEC East. They now have a running back in Lattimore that will have a little room to run. Defense still looks good and has Garcia finally matured? Me thinks they give UGA a beat down next week.
2 - Don't give up on Pitt. Lord knows how many times Wanny has screwed the pooch, but they have three weeks until they play Miami - New Hampshire and an off week - and I personally thought the QB looked pretty good. Lewis will not be shut down every week.
3 - No love for the Utes? Everyone talking about Boise and TCU, but Utah gets both TCU and BYU at home, where they haven't lost since 2007. Only tough road games at Air Force and Notre Dame?
4 - Thank you daddy? Good ole Monte only allowed 36 points and 588 total yards to Hawaii, who BTW had all of 5 returning starters on offense. Hawaii only scored more points than this twice last year - vs Utah St. and at Wash. St. who combined, won 5 games last year. There may be some USC totals in the 80s.
5 - Wilcox in, Monte out, a good thing? Many here in Vol nation were scared to death of the Justin Wilcox hire, but last year at Hawaii, Boise allowed only 300 yards and 9 points. Not saying it's going to be a great season here, but maybe all is not so bad.
Back later for Saturday's games:00hour
