Will update record in the AM

I've missed out on just about all of the ND and Bears picks this year and that's not normal. I'm backing ND again because I think their better than their ranking and I think Navy and their undersized lines make them a perfect matchup for ND because they can't explout both of ND's lines softness.

Rushing stats in the games against Navy under Weis

Year/Rushes-Yards/Avg per carry/Season avg. per carry
2008 51-230 4.5 3.3
2007 63-235 3.7 2.1
2006 37-176 4.8 3.9
2005 39-221 5.7 3.6

They're successful with the run and won't go away from it and it leads to deep ball threats in play action that won't be difficult.

Irish defense also has a ton of speed which makes the option tough to run and Dobbs comes back with a cracked knee. Got this early in the week, but would like it up to 15

Notre Dame -11

What Iowa is to Penn State, Northwestern is to Iowa. 7-5 in the last 12 and last two in Iowa. Almost get the feeling that Iowa's starting to enjoy playing in these types of games.

Northwestern +16

Also, not seeing disaster for either of these two programs despite what their fan bases think and this may be U of M's chance to get bowl eligible. The one nice thing about the loss is I haven't seem any Michigan colors out here that were so prevalent early this season

Football - 385 USC -10 -110 for Game
Football - 388 Michigan -3? -110 for Game

Also. . .

Football - 359 Ohio State +5 -110 for Game
Football - 320 Minnesota U -6 -110 for Game
Football - 357 Oklahoma -6? -110 for Game

Why'd the Husker line move down?

You got me. 4 out in Vegas now. In my mind Nebraska might not score. They barely moved the ball against a Baylor D that gives up chunks of yards. Cody Green is talented but he doesn't have the experience yet and locks on to 1 receiver on throwing downs. RB's aren't as solid due to injuries and the O-line isn't of the quality to cover any of that up.

Obviously someone is making the line go down though. Oklahoma doesn't have much to play for since Okie St. didn't upend Tejas, but a half-hearted Sooner effort should win by 10 in my mind.

It seems like Pellini's putting in all the kids that weren't good enough to start in the beginning of the year so I locked in before it moved to 7 and now . . . .hate when that happens

There is still an old school mentality with this staff that older classmen play due to their "headiness" even if the younger guys are obviously more talented.

They are slowly coming around by starting Green and yanking the redshirt off of Tray Robinson. Couple of examples on the Defensive side too.

.

This is the Les Miles way. I do not agree with the philopsohy. IMO, it's good news for you that Pelini seems to be shedding that strategy to some degree.
