Does nobody think that the snow, and the impending VERY LOW TURNOUT for the game will effect the home team to the benefit of Wake??? Part of this line had to be the fact that MD was playing at a very beneficial home court. I expected that the line would drop, with the afternoon time and the absence of a significant crowd. I think that this is a great chance to evaluate a game on talent alone, since the crowd will be such a non-factor. If so, is MD really that much better??

Not trying to bust any balls on the pick (I had them yesterday), just wondering why the line has held, circumstances considered?????

I think you may be surprised by the turnout....... When I was in college, I would have walked 5 miles in the snow barefoot uphill to get to the game... College kids are crazy!

I agree that in the same situation, I would be at Lloyd Noble cheering on the Sooners, with both a hangover and a refreshed buzz from the school cancellation, but unless they make this game free admission to students (which I would have as school admin.), there are only so many who want to/can go. Notably, the big money boosters and donors will never make it and I think it is about 1/2 full.

The question is whether it matters.....

Volfan,

The first matchup I looked at was UNLV -9 v unlv.

Came real close to making it a play, but ended up putting UTAH -9 on standby. Wager is still pending.

Unlv's recent play v BYU and @ San Diego State looks impressive, but the two Home Fav loss/no covers (-30 ats / -14 ats) v Usc and Wyoming are big red flags against the Runnin' Rebels.

You have to go back a long ways to find a serious blemish in UTAH's portfolio.

The more I think about it, the more I like UTAH -.

Have to admit, seeing you on the Utes helped in the decision.

Gonna take a look at Eastern Kentucky.

Just handicapped TENN TECH -6' v eastern kentucky

According to my handicapping method, I can see how this would be more of a play on Eastern Kty than a play against TENN TECH.

TENN TECH's portfolio reminds me of Miami's. Not real good, not real bad. Win some, lose some, always in the game, haven't been blown out, but haven't blown anyone away either. They've also recently played above average in the role of a Favorite.

EKty's L 3 ats covers cannot be ignored. Especially their most recent performance at Morehead State. What concerns me is their Home Fav +2' ats win/cover v Tenn State. According to what I've read, after the brawl, both teams finished with the game with seven players on the court. 4 for EKTY and 3 for Tenn State. All the other players had been ejected!!!

I think, and I'm not sure about this, but EKTY scored several points with this 4-3 player mismatch to get the ats cover.

In spite of that, I can see a lean to EKTY, but I'm gonna' pass.
