I'll use this thread for my picks this year. Beyond a couple halftime plays on hunches and some contest picks, this is the beginning of my season. I don't like making plays in college until I have seen things play out.

Michigan State +4.5 at Michigan.
I have watched Michigan this year and here's what I know: They can't stop anyone. I wanted this play coming into the week thinking that MSU would be favored. Love them as the dog.

It's disorienting, and as Indiana is driving down the field again you can't even figure out who to scream at because no one's in the same zip code as the receiver, and you hate everything about everything because this is MICHIGAN we don't do things like this.
On the other hand, "this is MICHIGAN" also applies to an offense that could end up loaded with NFL talent and still come nowhere near this one. Michigan still has Denard and its blitzkrieg of an offensive line and a bunch of wide-receivers who draw straws to determine who gets this week's monster day. One day when the defense is capable of covering guys here and there, Michigan will club people. At the moment it's about having the ball last."

Good start. I'm not sure I'll be as confident in a pick as I was in this one. I'm very intersted in the Iowa Michigan game. Iowa has had a week off to game plan for Denard and Co. and they will be fresh. I don't think the shine is going to be off the Wolverines just yet, so this will be another great opportunity to bet against them.

IOWA -3.5 (I will be betting this as soon as it is offered at my book. I'd play it at -10)
OREGON ST -2 (Despite the loss of their top receiver and the tough schedule they have played, I think they win by double digits over Washington)
NEBRASKA -9.5 (line already jumped 1.5 pts, but I still like it. Texas sucks and has no confidence. The QB probably feels like he has the weight of Texas on his shoulders.)
