Boise State -7.5 (-110)
In Week One, the Broncos held Oregon to just 31 yards rushing and then the Ducks went on to rush for 193 yards against Purdue a week later. In Week Two, Boise only allowed Miami Ohio to rush for a total of 38 yards but then again, the RedHawks have yet to put up a score in either of their games this season.

Regardless, Fresno likes to run the ball having done so 91 times in two games and I just think that Boise will be able to pretty much shut their rushing game down. I?m not sure that I can remember the last time that a WAC team was ranked in the Top Ten this early in the season and I don?t believe that the boys in blue are ready to let go of that glory just yet.

I?ve got the Broncos winning this one by 17 or more.

Texas -17.5 (-110)
The line on this game has moved a full point at Pinnacle today to -18.5 but TheGreek still has it at -17.5 so I'm climbing on board now albeit a little late. At BetFirstClass we are taking a lot of Texas action so we have moved to -18. I will post my analysis of the game sometime tomorrow.

California -13 (-110)
Last week, Minny christened their new stadium with a 20-13 win over Air Force despite only managing 327 yards, 14 first downs and logging six minutes fewer than the Falcons in time of possession. However, what caught my attention was that the Flyboys ran the ball 66 times in that game and with Cal and their not so secret weaapon, RB Jhavid Best coming to town, that is not good news for the Gopher defensive squad.

The Bears have logged over 1,050 yards in their first two games with a very balanced attack. Cal QB Kevin Riley has passed for 446 yards, completing 30 of 46 passes while Best has put up 281 yards rushing on just 27 carries and is backed up by Johnson who has 146 rushing yards of his own at 7.3 yards per carry. On top of that the Bears? secondary is as good as just about any in the country and should easily be able to hold the Gophers? one-dimensional tandem of Weber and Decker in check.

I smell a blowout.

Lot of ?chalk? here and I wish that I had jumped on this one when it opened at 19 but really believe that the Dukies present no challenge to this very balanced and explosive Jayhawk team. The Blue Devils managed just 236 total yards against Army last week yet somehow still came away with a 35-19 win despite rushing for only 70 yards. Their running game is almost non-existent and that is a problem considering that Kansas is used to playing against the prolific passing offenses in the Big 12 and typically show five defensive backs.

With only games against Richmond and Army under their belts, Duke has to travel to Lawrence where the Jays are 11-1 as a home favorite the last three years.

Air Force ?17 (+100)
The Falcons only allowed one offensive touchdown and outgained Minny last week 376 to 327 in a 20-13 loss. Their one turnover resulted in a fumble return for a touchdown which was the difference in the game. There is no doubt regarding what the Air Force game plan will be; they will run the ball at the Lobos all day as demonstrated by the 735 rushing yards they accumulated in their first two games.

New Mexico?s defense is simply awful having allowed 1,095 total yards in two losses to Texas A&M and Tulsa. The offense is not any better as the Lobos have now failed score an offensive touchdown in 14 consecutive quarters. Their only hope to stay close in this one is for QB Porterie to find a weaak spot in the Falcon secondary and take advantage of it on every possession as the Air Force running attack will run big chunks off the clock and limit the Lobos' possessions.

Auburn -7 (-112)
Considering the offensive buzzsaw that first year Auburn OC Mahlzan has put together, you would think that he is working toward a mid-season raise. Two games in, the Tigers are #4 in the nation in total yards, averaging 573 per game with their #2 rushing duo of McCalebb and Tate combining for 346 yard per game. Oh yeah, the team is also ranked #11 in scoring.

Granted, West Virginia is also a very good offensive team and will certainly give the Tigers a hell of a better game than either of their previous opponents but the Mountaineer defense is a little beat up and in addition to their stellar running game, Auburn also has three more very strong weapons in QB Todd, WR Adams and former QB turned running back Kodi Burns, who has been nails when working under center out of the occasional Wildcat formation.

Make no mistake, the boys from West Virginia are certainly capable of making a game out of this but I just see too large of an arsenal and too much speed all over the Auburn team to imagine that they can?t cover this number ay home.

Very disappointed in Texas' play in the 1st half but firmly believe that they start clicking and run away with this from here on out. Tech has shown nada.

The fact that Auburn only has 50 yards rushing in the first half, but are still very much in this game, is encouraging. It looks like I may very well have underestimated the Mountaineers but we'll see what the 2nd half brings.
