Thanks. I believe LSU has won 32 consecutive night games in Baton Rouge, including the last meeting with Florida.
I am eager to see the total on this one. LSU D is playing better by the week, and are healthier at DL now than a couple of weeks ago. Despite a limited pass rush, the secondary is playing exceptionally. The bulky LSU LBs can be exploited by Floridas' speed. All of this talk about Florida using a limited playbook is silly imo. This is bigboy ball, and I do not believe in being able to turn it on and off like a switch. Furthermore, it has been my opinion this season that Florida O misses Harvin and ex OC Mullen. Throw in the fact Tebow hasn't practiced in 2 weeks and I like the Gator offense to be contained to some degree.
LSU O has not played well enough this season to drive for multiple scores against Florida. Without improvement, which is unlikely due to poor interior line play, LSU will struggle offensively. Jefferson is susceptable to a pass rush, as he takes too long to look over his reads and has not shown the ability to throw the ball away. He was a dropback QB in high school, and is being used to run the option 10+ times a game due to the teams inability to run. He has the speed and athletic ability, but his form and technique running the option is poor, at best. His legs are best used when the pocket breaks down. LSU should roll and bootleg him imo, but haven't done so thus far. UGA stepped up the pressure in the 2h last week, taking advantage of both guards and the inexperienced center. The top 3 guards were all sick last week, so maybe that had something to do with the repeated breakdowns in the 2H.
I am looking at FL 24 LSU 14, but will be there hoping for the opposite. GL:weed:
