New Orleans
2-5 -2.5u week 1
6-3 plus 1.85u week 2
5-5 -0.2u week 3

i haven't been able to look at much, and won't for the next 6 weeks or so, but am playing one tonight.

USF un44.5 -105 x1.5

conference opener for both, with rutgers playing with revenge. i expect a tight start in primetime. rutgers will rely on the run, but i'm not expecting much success. nevada's offense was a far more difficult matchup for usf than the more vanilla rutgers offense. also read that rutgers is down an OG. the backup was the starter in the spring and appears to have battled for the starting spot until summer, so shouldn't be that big of an issue.

rutgers has held bj daniels in check throughout his career. i'm hoping the trend will continue in the post-schiano era.

Looking at Troy pretty good myself, need to see who State has next, if it's a conference opponent that may seal it. I realize I left a lot of teams off my lean list, I forgot I had already narrowed them down some, and Troy was on it. Also left some teams off because they looked a little ridiculous.

south bama is on deck. You're right, though. i know i'd pound troy if a conference foe were on deck for state. make no mistake about it, the state qb can play, but let's see how he holds up away from home off the big win. ill be on for sure at plus 17. :toast:

I was hopeing maybe they had Tenn next. Im looking forward to that game. Im glad to see the Vols getting back to their normal selves in spite of what that means for my boys. Ky needs to be real careful with WKY this weekend, I've actually got the Topps winning by 3 one way but Ky's PO is so much better and QB Smith is really coming along, maybe not Bray's level but not far behind. They could still not win a conference game tho. Didn't realise State's QB was that good but will take your word for it. I still lean Troy but think it would be hard for State to have a let-down, their to hungry. GL with your plays.

Tigers fooled me a little last week, played at a much more intense level and, as you had mentioned in another post, Mett looked a lot smoother out there; nothing like seeing a QB start to come along.

UMass plus 45.5 over Mich
zona st plus 6 over mizzou
utah plus 3 over byu
n texas plus 28 over ksu
hou plus 17 over ucla

cwood, i want to play florida, but not sure i can pull the trigger on gators playng their 2nd straight on the road in conference play so early in the season with questionable qb play. i know hunter and patterson are nfl receivers and bray has all the tools, but to me there is a state of irrational exuberance surrounding the vols offense. banged up or not, the gator D is a different ballgame from what Vols have seen to this point despite the injuries. the gator defense reminds of LSU, in that there are talented young players on the bench who should be able to step in and play well. i will definitely look into this one more as an interested fan of the SEC, but no play for me at this point.

Thanks Cie, I am in the same spot and was hoping you'd push me over the edge to playing the Gators!

Love the Gators front 4 (and rotation guys) and they have a big coaching edge in this one, it's just tough to get my mind around betting on their QB.

CWood and Cie - You know I will pull the trigger against the Vols, but mentioning the front 4 for Florida. You have to realize the uptempo offense the Vols are running this year and how many plays they are running. I think if you take Florida, you have to believe they will score 20+. I don't think I am a delusional Vol fan, but could be wrong here. Just want to give as much info to my MJ brothers as I can!

GL whatever you play:toast:

thanks for stopping in, skipper. i will be laying off for the reason that i have no confidence in the gator offense, particularly with a gimpy starting running back. i wish hunter had stuck with his original commitment to lsu. there are rbs to spare in baton rouge, but not enough athletic high jump freaks at wr.
