I will likely use CMU as my largest play this week. Zips playin' 3rd straight on the road, off of a HUGE win LW.

LSU/AUB

I leaning LSU+3 this weekend. Injury-wise, LSU looks good. I haven't checked Auburn yet.

The LSU OL looked sharp last week, and the passing game is in rhythm. Jamarcus Russell (16-2 as a starter) has made huge strides. The top 3 LSU WRs are fantastic, all have size and speed.

LSU D remembers the 200+ yards piled up by Irons LY. Led by Laron Landry, the D should play extremely well this weekend. Through 2 weeks it appears the DL has dropped off less than expected from last season, and the LBs are far more athletic than last season. In fact, this appears to be the fastest set of LSU LBs in the Saban/Miles era.

I like your UT, Baylor, and LSU plays.

I really like LSU to win the game outright this weekend. Auburn is a great team and they are playing at home. However, at the begining of the season I predicted AU to lose 1 game and that would be to LSU. I think people are selling LSU short big time. I also am one of the few that think Jemarcus Russell is the best QB in the SEC.

No matter what, that should be a whale of a game this weekend. GL on the rest of your plays.

Glad to see you on BYU

Glad to see you on BYU

Think this will be a SU victory for the COUGS

People giving BC a lot of credit for beating a notoriously up-and-down CLEMSON squad that was really beat up on defense and playing on the road the week before the Bowden Bowl

Told you after week one that I saw BYU play ZONA (obviously a diff. ZONA team than we saw last week) and they looked pretty solid - think they are moving in the right direction w/ Mendenhall

Couple of trends:

BYU 5-1 last 6 on art. turf
BYU 8-4 as away dogs

BC 8-15-1 hosting non-conf teams

Burns--

Revenge minded Cougs could easily win this game.

As for the real game of interest, I have not been this pumped up for a football game since we held Okie to 152yds of offense in the Sugar Bowl. I see trouble for Aub. I hope we keep trying to run even if we can't early. By the second half our OL should definitely start to get a push against the undersized Aub DL. How does Aub plan on defending Bowe, Davis and Doucet. Oh, I forgot Lafell.

If Aub doesn't block a punt, I think we take the game outright. Unfortunately, I am deathly afraid this may happen. I ran into Phil at the gym Tuesday, he alerted me of the near block by Zona. I watched the re-broadcast last night, sure as hell, we were lucky to get that punt off. You know Tubbs watched that film very closely. I predict a blocked punt unless we change that outrageous blocking scheme.

Cut & pasted:

LSU

? Even though LSU was able to outlast Auburn in overtime last season, the Tigers' defenders are still fuming over Kenny Irons' 218-yard rushing performance against them. Included was a 74-yard touchdown run. The only other player to rush for 100 yards against LSU since that game was Alabama's Kenneth Darby, who had 104 last season in LSU's overtime win over the Tide. "To have a guy run through you like that, it's real personal going into this game," LSU defensive tackle Glen Dorsey said.

? The Tigers have eased running back Alley Broussard back into action the first two weeks after he missed all of last season with a knee injury. Broussard was also slowed during the spring with his recovery, but LSU head coach Les Miles said this week, "I think we can all look forward to him carrying the ball more frequently." Broussard, Justin Vincent and Jacob Hester each have 16 carries through the first two games.

Auburn

? Auburn tailback Kenny Irons says he's feeling better after suffering a sore shoulder and groin in the opener against Washington State. Irons was held to 69 yards on 21 carries last week against Mississippi State and said he was never able to get the kind of push he usually gets and also tried to avoid any direct hits on his shoulder. Irons had 183 yards rushing against Washington State.

? Tuberville hasn't budged on the indefinite suspensions of linebackers Kevin Sears and Tray Blackmon. Neither player will play this Saturday against LSU. They were arrested this offseason in separate alcohol-related incidents and have been practicing mostly with the scout team.

cie...

first of all..good luck this weekend..

since i respect your capping ability can you tell me why you like ohio ?

don't you put stock into the fact that teams often come in flat after pulling off a su win as a 20 point dog ?

there are places on the net that show a huge % of players betting rutgers & yet the line has dropped 1.5 - 2 points.

rutgers running attack & defense have been playing well & ohio can be run on...

i am really baffled about this game after i thought it out pretty well....

thanks

Al-- I do not have my capping notes, so this is off the top of my head.

After a pair of wins vs BCS schools, including their first shutout in several seasons, I can easily see Rut coming out flat.

Rutgers offense does not impress me. Despite an average starting field position at midfield last week, they only scored 2 offensive TDs. If I recall correctly, in the 2H, the Rut O started in Ill territory on 4 of 5 drives, yet produced only a FG.

The world is on Rutgers this week-- 1 site shows 93% on them. If Rutgers take this game lightly, I like Ohio's chances of staying within the number even though they, too, are in a "letdown" situation.
