uab is one of those teams that played in a 2nd rate conference and got a poor seeding in NIT. this team is good enough to play in the big dance! uab will win tomorrow and seal the fate of the "irish" on St Pattys Day! how fitting! I will be laughing all the way to the bank!

usually respect the thoughts but seriously you see uab winning this? I'm nota nd fan nor do I have hatred forthem but still a team that was about .5oo in the big east. Beat #1 seed lville by 30+, played toe to toe with Uconn and PItt as well. Poorly coached team but still a battle tested team....UAB is a team that has no real big wins but beat the lowly teams of the cusa consistently....without a true center to disrupt Harangody...I think Harangody scores a 30-10 game at ND where they have held some long winning streaks....could be wrong but hard to see how you go aginst the small spread here

Not sure how you can make a great case for UAB. Yes, St. Patrick's Day @ Notre Dame will be huge. ND is actually a tough place to get a win. I'm not saying ND will cover for sure, but need some time to review this game further.

Hey DD, I am "not" a ND hater and I have backed ND several times on this forum. UAB is a tough scrappy guard oriented team that plays hard every night for Coach Mike Davis (ex Indy coach). They are highly motivated and come to play with a lot of energy. Unfortunately, they lost a couple kids early in the season to injury/suspension so they are NOT a deep team. They went to AZ for the Tucson tourney and won it over home team AZ. They have played MEM 2X, LOUISV, Butler, BC, OKL, CINCY, OLDom and the teams in ConfUSA. Grant it thats not the BigEast but it is some tough competition. UAB should take a #7 seeding as a slap in the face (IMO) because a team that has won 22 games with this tough schedule deserved more meanwhile ND has done 0 to deserve a #2 seeding in the NIT. 5.5 is generous and by game time (knowing the public) this game should be 6 - 6.5. People have been saying all year ND "Should" do this or that and we are still waiting for it to happen. Harongody gets 30-10 quite frequently and his team still gets blown out. I expect a great effort here by both teams but HAVE to take the 5.5+ with UAB as they will scrap to the end here. GL DD

I hear UAB may have a guard out tonight with flu?
