Army...yes.... My boys
We are 8-36 vs ND.Lost the last 12 in a row.

Should be 9-35.Let me take you back to
Oct 12th 1957
Black nites lead 23-7 with 17 minuts to play.Earl "red" Blaik takes his starters out for some rest.ND comes back and wins it on a FG in the last minut by ND's Sticlles.Monty Stickles who grew up 25 miles from the Point was turned down by WP because of bad eye sight. But his sight was fine nailing that FG right down the middle.

Yeah, I guess we should schedule Citadel, Lousiana- Lafayette like the rest of the SEC teams.

I agree with you I don't like the direction ND is going by scheduling cupcake teams. Hopefully, this won't be a trend.

So is J. Smardizja, M. Stovall, and V. Abiamari for ND...

If more pro prospects means a better team, does that mean Auburn was better than USC last year with our 4 first round draft picks? :scared

Auburn would hit Brady Q. so hard, it would make what happened to Brodie look like a love tap. :mj14:

Yeah - just like Tennessee would :mj07: ... Give me a break. ND's offense would carve through Auburns defense like a Thanksgiving turkey.

What I want to know is why is ND getting the automatic at large....I am sick and tired of ND getting special treatment and another thing join a ****ing conference already maybe that will help the Irish's lame schedule Navy Syracuse Wash BYU Pitts give me a break...ND is fraud there are other teams that are more deserving of the at large instead of the Irish

As an ND alum I will never complain of them getting a BCS bid, but I do have two points that you have to consider.

First, before the season, ND's schedule was probably the HARDEST in the country. There were THREE TOP 5 teams on the schedule, michigan, tenn, and usc. Pitt and Purdue were nationally ranked as well. Theres 5 ranked opponents. The navy game is tradition, we are in a contract with MSU, Cuse, BYU, and Stanford. Theres NO WAY the athletic director can know that pitt, tenn, cuse, and purdue are all gonna choke and have horrific seasons with like 12 wins between the 4 of them. Throw in Washington too. Theres no way to predict who will be good and who will be bad. All you have is PRESEASON RANKINGS. According to that, we had one of the nations toughest schedules, hands down.
THREE TOP 5 TEAMS!!! Think about what you are now saying.

Second, who is more deserving than ND? If you could name some legitamite programs, with national fan bases that could attract money for these bowl games, which is their ultimate goal, and still play competitively, who would you pick? Dont worry, I have a feeling the buckeyes will not be overlooked. Yeah Notre dame has 2 losses, but guess what? They were competitive and in the game on EVERY PLAY OF EVERY DRIVE OF EVERY QUARTER OF EVERY GAME this season. That translates into a high probablility that WHOEVER they play, it will be a GOOD matchup, and a GREAT GAME on the field. Thats what its all about, thats why bowls select the teams they do. Yeah, ND will earn them more money too, but this is not the ND team that played oregon state in the fiesta bowl last time it went to the BCS. This is a team that will either WIN OR LOSE BY 3 AT THE MOST to whoever they play in the bcs. I WILL GUARANTEE THAT !! WIN OR LOSE BY 3 AT THE MOST

we both can go round and round about this who is deserving and whos not but bottom line if ND gets in and OSU does not it would be a crime because the fan base is about equal and OSU's losses are to better competition and all I am saying is there is no way they should be a shoe in for the at large over OSU...wins and losses buddy wins and losses

So was O-State...look its simple O-State's two losses are far more creditable then ND's...O-State loss two the second and third team in the country...ND loss to the first team in the country and an UNRANKED team...Now what I am saying is that its bullshit that ND is basically has an automatic to go to a BCS where as OSU does not...It should totally be the other way around...and don't give me that shit about a fan base because only if lived in closest the last few years you would know that Ohio State has brought more fans to the Fiesta Bowl then any other them in recent years...WE TRAVEL...Once again ND is getting the automatic bid based on their god damn rep...It will be travesty if OSU gets snuffed and the Irish get selected...God I hope we play because you haven't seen a defense like ours all season!

I agree , wins and losses, umm dont both schools have IDENTICAL records? ND would be 9-2 with a win this weekend. If ya want to get techinical, ADVANTAGE ND for getting into the poll position it is in now. ND is AHEAD of OSU in the polls despite beginning the season UNRANKED.

A team must be MORE IMPRESSIVE to come from NOWHERE into the top 6 than start in the top 10 and pretty much tread water all season long. If OSU had started unranked, they would barely be 10th. FACT.

And trust me bro, OSU is very UNLIKELY to get left out. So all this debate is a moot point. The only way I think it could happen is if Texas loses or the Orange bowl doesnt pick Penn State. Both very unlikely scenarios. VT was a threat but Miami's loss helped ya out b/c now VT stands to get the auto bid by winnng the ACC title game. Oregon just doesnt have the credential with one loss. I think the BCS established the trend last year when the ROSE bowl snubbed Cal from a BCS game in its HOME STATE. I cant see the fiesta taking Oregon over Ohio state when last year the Rose took Texas over Cal.

Derek please that is bullshit. ND is ranked where they are because of the name on the jerseys. Call the same exact team with the exact results "Purdue" or "Fresno State" and they are ranked behind Ohio State. Doesnt have shit to do with being "impressive." The only impressive game was one they lost.

Derek, great theory on getting ranked based on being impressive.

Alabama started out unranked. So, Alabama got all the way up to #3 because they were "impressive" by beating Ole Miss 13-10 (last second field goal), Tennessee 6-3(should've lost, won on fumble) and Miss. St. 17-0 (offense never scored a TD)? Is that right?

Great logic.

Notre Dame's entire roster could not stop Kenny Irons or Stanley McGlover. End of story.

You being a ND alumni you must of have been a communication major or graduated at the bottom of the class...Derek did you even read my post...YES BOTH ****ING TEAMS HAVE IDENTICAL RECORDS...Thats my whole god damn point...OSU losses are more creditable then NDs...ND loss to a UNRANKED TEAM....Therefore they shouldn't be automatic at large over OSU who lost to two of the top three teams...if the Fiesta takes Penn St the Orange will take ND and that is bullshit and you know it...If the Fiesta takes Penn St then OSU gets snubbed...Because they will not rematch two big ten teams...which means the Fiesta takes Oregon...no room for the Bucks...which means once again ND gets the nod because of the media :cursin:

Nobody outside of Alabama cares about Auburn. We would carve through your defense just like Tennessee. Good luck in the tire bowl this year.

ND would prob. do to AU what Arizona St. did to LSU. Put up 560 total yards offense and score over 30pts. These SEC teams look great against directional schools and they play such "tough" low scoring hard nose defense in conf. play. That doesn't fool me! :lol2

ND lost in OT to Michigan St. What you fail to realize is ND played a rivalry game the week before that most people thought they would lose. Michigan St. treated the ND game like the superbowl while ND can't match the same intensity. ND played a much more difficult schedule than Ohio St. because ND played 4 of their first 5 games on the road and all against name teams. TOUGH! ND gets everyones best shot too. Ohio St. played 5 of their first 6 games at home. WHAT A FAWKING JOKE! :mj07: Why should we respect Ohio St. more than ND? I don't think there is much of an argument supporting OSU over ND.

OSU lost to the #2 team in the country because they dropped a wide open pass in the endzone. You didn't see ND make any STUPID errors like that against the #1 team in the country who needed a 4th and 9 play to win the game! (BTW it was just a great play, ND had great defense on that 4th and 9) ND played USC in Oct. not Sept. Teams are more vulnerable in Sept. vs Oct.

How would Ohio St. play against Michigan St. after beating rival Michigan the week before?

Michigan St. had 456 total yards against Ohio St. and game was close all the way through the 4th quarter. MSU had 488 total yards on ND.

But the media and posters here at MJ's will argue OSU has such GREAT DEFENSE and I have seen people post saying ND defense sucks. Why does OSU defense always get free pass? OSU D always plays at home too! :) What a joke.

LSU was too busy dragging homeless people off the streets and letting them bunk in their dorm rooms to practice for that game you idiot!!! Then they had to travel to AZ and the last time I checked THEY WON THE GAME!!!!!

You are right about one thing, ND would lose to Auburn just like Ariz. St. did to LSU, only Auburn wouldn't be hampered by a natural disaster, so the score would be more appropriate like 31-13.
