ND @ Mich St Discussion

[DR STRANGELOVE]

So, around campus this entire week everyone is talking about this game. Many feel that stanton and his crew could exploit the irish secondary, but my main concern is quinn lighting it up against the spartans secondary. Was talking to Taoist the other day on the phone and he mentioned that one would think the over would be a nice play. I tend to agree. But for the life of me, I can't see mich st staying within 3.5 of ND.

I'll be attending the game, so as much as I hate betting with or against mich st (lost every wager so far this year), it would be more fun if I had money on the game (pizza money).

What do you guys think, the forum seems split from what I can tell.

I bet the Big Blue on the ML last weekend and it paid off nicely...but this weekend, I am on ND big (for me). I have always loved MST, but this week I see ND. Just my useless 2 cents.

Im staying away from this game, but i like mich st +3-. This is always a close game, mich st always seems to find a way in this matchup

im on the irish...i got 2 bucks -2.5 and i took the moneyline -140 for 4 bucks....but what the fvck do i know?....what i do know is that i hear alot of chatter from many dog players on mj's(who have gotten thier asses handed to them so far this year)about how all these dogs are supposed to cover this weekend and they're saying it with so much conviction yet they're in the red ytd....kst,wisky,penn st.,mich st.,cincy.az st.,nc st.,blah-blah-blah....oh and nwestern was supposed to cover tonight as well:mj07: bottom line im playing nd cuz i think they have offensive edge,revenge,better coach(imo),and are pissed...we'll see...i guess im just a sqaure and playing the road chalk....i was a sqaure tonight on reno as well and on the under last night...if u been a square or a part of "the public" then u've done ok for urself so far this year...im up $2360 so far this yr so i guess i'm ok with being joe public or a sqaure:142smilie

I'll be at the game as well (leavin' in about 15 minutes - look for me - I'll have the blue #3 jersey ).

I think it's going to be high scoring - Michigan's D killed ND's O because they were able to get a lot of pressure and still drop 7; Spartans won't be able to that. The Spartans run game impressed me last week and with Stanton, the Irish D will have a lot of trouble as well.

It's going to come down to who makes more mistakes to kill drives (holding penaties, sacks, personal fouls, etc.)

And I bet it's going to the JL Smith and his JUCO thugs.

Tough game! BUT, with the public backing Notre Dame following a loss, and with a small line of 2.5, my lean would be Michigan State. Good luck!
