Great write-ups. I also like the Pats. I was curious about how you think the line will move. Right now it is Pats -3 -120. DO you think it will go up or down. SHould I bet now or wait to bet Pats? I have 6 sportsbooks so if lines moving up i can prob. still grab it at -3. I am just curious to what you all thought what "might" happen. Thanks.

some more trends to consider. Dome teams in the playoffs outdoors are 10-38 and in the conferance finals are 0-7. The pats are 10-1 at home when the temp is 34 or lower at kickoff.

Yes, but this Dome team is 1-0 in the playoffs this year...went to a team in a situation similar to NE's last week...undefeated home record...hmm..

Add the fact that the Dolts are 7-1 this season on the road in outdoor stadiums.

I hope you are able to hang your hat on something more than "Dome teams in the playoffs outdoors are 10-38"....

Sorry pacerfan I dont think this is a similar situation considering the Chefs had the worst defense in the NFL and the Pats have one of the best.

Pacerfan I am just posting some trends. The thing i will hang "my hat" on is this, the Pats have had good success against the colts. You have not posted any info/trends that would make me think that this is going to change. My whole point is that home field does give the Pats a clear advantage. It will be cold which could cause some problems for the colts and their offense. The other problem will be the pats defense which Manning has had his problems with in the past. ON the other side of the ball the colts d is very suspect. The pats will spread them out and mix it up with runs and screens. They clearly have the advantage not to mention the extra day of rest and no travel.

pats as a fav role?

pats as a fav role?

i dont recall the pats as favs all that often--(home against the phins maybe?) which speaks volumes to the level of competition they've been facing--and as we all know beating for that matter. anyone know what the PATS ATS record is as favorites? they're favorites now, and they didnt cover last wk vs the titans. in the previous showdown vs tenn i think they were 1 pt favs at home--they won then, and covered. would hardly consider that a FAV role though, as i consider a line of 3 par for the course for a home team. anything less than that you're sayin that the home team is the lesser of the two squads--IMHO. read: home field tranlates into 3pt favor. anyways, i was jus curious what the pats rec was as FAVs during this streak of theirs--as games are approached and played different when perceived from different standpoints--so i thinx. whos got the info?

Just remember what thePats defense did to the Rams a few years ago!

The beat the living snot out of their receivers on every play, let alone put the fear of god in them. Look for more of that Sunday.

Pats defense is much improved now !

Beilichek had a plan then and will have one for the Dolts

Pats 30
Colts 17
