NE streak is over-rated....

i've lost 13 straight bets this weekend

(of course the vikings scored a td in OT, i had the texans +3.5 and knew i needed a missed pat by brown with a min left to win my bet 28-27)

(i never bet unders, and of couse the one under i do finally bet is the clowns-steelers.....highest scoring game of the day...loser at halftime, shocker)

(yep that was me on wazzu yest giving up 27 4 qtr points to lose, yes that was me on fla giving up the td drive in the last min)

i've also lost 28 of 33 dating back to last weekend
(funny thing is, i'm in a weekly pool using spreads and somehow last week i went 12-2 and won $100 ..but of course the man killed me)

so...for all of you holding SD-CAR-SF/AZ OVER tickets...you're in trouble. and i dont care that the chargers are getting three and lead 21- 0...they will find a way to lose by 4.

If it makes you feel any better...i never bet unders either and I took the under in the Pitt/Cle game.

I also teased Indy/Cle and had Cle+10.5 - of course, Cle lost by 11.

In addition, I played the 2nd half over of the Cle/Pitt game at 17.5 - of course, they scored 17.

I also played the 2nd half of the Mia/NE game...of course, Mia had the ball 1st and goal at the 1 TWICE and couldn't score.

I also played Dallas/NYG over. The missed field goal killed me as the game would have gone over.

Throw in Dallas over, Dallas, and Oak in the 2nd half, and I pulled an 0'fer too.

LOL...the good thing is that my 0-fer streak is broken. I had Den -3 in the 1st half, and they just his a late TD for the PUSH...

i know it's all about the long haul but i really cant recall hitting 13 straight EVER....or winning 28 of 33...EVER...a good streak is usually 7-10 or 11 of 15......is it just me or are the losing streaks much easier to come by?

Feel your pain gin - not quite as deep, but still painful. I could not win an under bet to save my life. So today I play the Mia/NE game over 34- :cursin: ...and that guy standing next to you yesterday screaming like a fool causing the dog to slink out of the room when Wazzu and Fla. collapsed -----well I should have introduced myself.

Don't have any action on the late games but I'll be pulling for you

Sure seems like the losing streaks are longer. For one thing, if you lose 9 in a row...well, it's really like 10, because all that juice adds up to an extra loss on it's own!

Honestly though, I don't recall ever losing 9 in a row before last weekend...13....gawd....I can ~almost~ imagine what that would feel like (but thankfully, I can't). Pheeeeeeew. I also can't recall hitting 9 in a row....or 22/25.

I had a 3-22 run once on the NBA over a 3-day span, all on picks given to me by a friend. He told me going in: "You've got to play everything I tell you, you can't pick and choose or it won't work". Well after 3 days, once I'd lost my car and my house, there was no way I could continue. So I ignore his picks the next night. And he goes 7-0. :cursin: So now he phones me up all excited that he "made me some money".

Anyways, figured you might need a good laugh. I know I sure did last week (that and a few strong drinks). Good luck to you all.
