Im a pretty green capper. Ive only been into it seriously for 2-3 years now, and to be honest Ive focused mainly on sides and rarely on totals. I do almost all my $$ wagering on sides.

Well, as most people are, Im also in an office pick 'em pool. And this year I have a real chance to win. Usually the format is 5 college games and 10 pro games, but with college games done for a few weeks, theyve been replaced with 5 NFL totals. As I said, Im really not that knowledgeable on totals, so any help on the ones Im going to list would be greatly appreciated.

St. Louis/ Minnesota - 45
Chicago/ Pittsburgh - 31
Jacksonville/ Indy - 42.5
Houston/ Tennessee - 43.5
Baltimore/ Denver - 40.5

Any insight anyone could lend would be greatly appreciated. Trends, leans, analysis, anything on one, a few, or all.

Help out a fellow capper, it would be greatly appreciated!!

nashville, tn
in order of how you have them

under
over
under
under
under

my opinions

some insight

vikings very methodical offense now with johnson at the helm....dont make many mistakes.....minn def. has been playing well....final score 24- 14 minn

pitt and chicago will turn ball over and make for short fields.....pitt has running game to move ball vs. mighty maligned bears D .....plus 31 points isnt alot......pitt in a close one 21-20

colts D has proved to me they are for real....jags D should be able to keep score low.....colts are running the ball more often than passing ......final score colts 24-13

texans and titans are dismal.....neither team wants to play in the cold here in nashville....texans wont be able to move ball and titans are all dinged up, which translates into no weapons.....titans 17-10

ravens going into mile high is not very promising, especially for the offense going up vs. great bronco D....shanahan will get big lead early, then run clock.....broncos 31-7

hope this helps

Thanks baseball boy, I really appreciate the opinions and the insight. I was kinda leaning the opposite way on a few, but you made a sound case that will really make me think. Definite agreeance on Minny and Tenessee.

Keep it coming guys.

I really like the Indy/Jax under. I know I'm alone an island here, but I think Jax keeps this game close. Indy struggled big time against the Jax D in their first meeting, only scoring 10 points. That was home and on turf. Now they have to play on the road on grass. I know they are improved since that first meeting, but I don't think they are going to roll Jax by any means. Jax is in the top 5 defensively in quite a few categories. On the other side of the ball they have Garrard at QB. I think they will play conservatively to try and limit mistakes. Indy's D has been pretty good this year too. I don't see this game going past 37 points. I actually have a fairly sizeable bet on under 42. Just my thoughts... good luck with your plays...

If I had to bet each game I would play the under in everyone.

Good Luck to you.
