TOPIC: To ALL the people thinking the game was NOT scripted

Congratulations, you are officially the most naive person in the world. Is there anyone here in honesty that think the game wasnt fixed? If so im scared and ive lost all faith in humanitys judgment power, its really scary if some think "whatever happened happened". Money rules and controls and dictates the game what else? You think a billion dollar industry would let "whatever happen happens" and let randomness dictate what will happen? If so,think twice, no busines will have succes that way if they dont have control over at least something.

It is now about 11 hours since the game ended. Do you think that any Seahawks player is upset about the loss or even spends as much as 1 minute thinking the game through, thinking what happened through? They sure as hell dont give 2 fks about what just happend, because they "WON" what they won was fame and money which is everything that people strive for, they couldnt possiby ask for more. They dont care about the fact that they just threw this game outta the window, right now they are already living their million dollar lives along with ladiesand plenty of fame, they are not the least concerned about this past super bowl they lost just 11 hours ago, i will guarantee you this.

Pete Carroll takes the cake though. Holy moses that was hillarious and tragicomic at some point.

He doesnt give two fat people that he just lost the biggest sports event in the entire world on the last play of the game because of a stupid decision that resulted in interception. This acting/sport is so fantastic sometimes. How can you LAUGH and SMILE when you just lost the biggest thing in the world? These guys doesnt give a darn that they just lost the biggest possible thing. Why? BECAUSE THEY MAKE BANK, BECAUSE THEY GET FAME, BECAUSE THEY GET LADIES. TOMORROW NO SEAHAWKS PLAYERS WILL EVER REMEMBER THAT THEY PLAYED THE SUPER BOWL THE DAY BEFORE. And then a bit of scripted fighting at the end to make it look like they care about this game LOL. This acting job is hillarious, i love it. I LOVE IT

When i lost a table tennis match in the break in high school i would cry, i would be mad, i would throw my bat at the wall and NOTHING was at stake, these guys doesnt give a FK about super bowl all they give a FK about is money that they already made

Thank god im so happy im on Patriots because these reactions are hillarious, im so thankful im on the right side of the "you know what".:142smilie

To all the people who don't think or believe that professional sports can be swayed or fixed are GULLIBLE BLIND FOOLS!!!!!. In this world there is three types of people PREDATORS, SHEEPS & SHEEPDOGS and obviously you people fall in the middle of this category

Fixed game or not. (My perspective from Taiwan)

(4) With 40 some seconds left, when Seattle made it 2nd and goal at the 1-yard line, if they score a TD, NE would just need a Field Goal to tie. Normally, any coach on the opposing team should call a time out there (because the odds are Seattle is going to score a TD with the amount of time left and 2 timeouts remaining, plus how well Lynch has been running). Why didn't NE call a timeout?? Unless they knew they are gonna get an interception or win the game somehow, someway.... My conclusion: Seattle probably got the call from Vegas to dump the game.:mj07:

TOPIC

There is a simple reason MARSHAWN didn't get it on the 1 yd line

Forget timeouts, increasing number of chances, outhinking, overcoaching, etc.

Goodell made it very clear, and then buzzed down prior to the goal line interception to make sure Carroll remembered...no player that refuses to give interviews makes the Superbowl game winning score.:142smilie

However one guy put them all in place with article from website

Patriots cover, Over causes hit for Vegas in Super Bowl XLIX

An hour before Sunday?s Super Bowl kickoff between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, Jay Rood aired his one big concern at The Mirage sportsbook.

?We?re massive Seahawks fans,? said Rood, vice president of race and sports for MGM-Mirage. ?If this goes Patriots and ?Over,? at least at our shop, we?re gonna take a hit.?

It looked like Rood just might come out unscathed when, in the final minute, Seattle had second-and-goal from the 1-yard line while trailing 28-24. Simple plan, right? Give it to Marshawn Lynch three times if need be, win the game, grab the Lombardi Trophy for the second straight year.

Then Rood, along with countless other Seahawks fans who came out en masse to the sportsbooks, watched arguably the dumbest play call in Super Bowl history. Russell Wilson lines up in the shotgun, New England?s Malcolm Butler jumps a quick slant route and intercepts the ball at the goal line. The Patriots, who went off as 1-point chalk, salted away the game from there, and the total of 52 cleared the posted total of 47.

?Yes, that was a tough way to lose,? Rood said. ?It was a massive missed opportunity for MGM.? That said, thanks to the hurricane of proposition bet offerings, it wasn?t all bad news.?We still came out with a small win ? ever so small,? Rood emphasized. ?The props carried the day.?

A few blocks away at the Westgate Superbook, Jay Kornegay had a similar lament.

?It was our worst-case scenario,? said Kornegay, vice president of race and sports for Westgate. ?It?s a little disappointing, because you always hope you can show a pretty decent (positive) number after all that work that goes into it. Even though we ended up on the plus side, it?s a little disappointing.?

The second-and-goal decision still had Kornegay perplexed, nearly three hours after the game ended.

?I?m still trying to process that whole thing,? he said. ?It happened so fast, it certainly was seconds of disbelief, and unfortunate for us. But it was good for a lot of people. I don?t want the bettors not to win. It just would?ve been better for us if the Seahawks scored. I?m just being honest about the emotions on our end.?

Said Matt James, spokesman for offshore website Sportsbook.ag: ?What a finish and what a game. That was a huge swing in the result for the book right at the end. We?re still analyzing all the markets, but Pete Carroll?s play call at the end is going to make this the biggest losing Super Bowl since 2008.?

On the flip side, off-shore site TheGreek.com got exactly what it needed. But general manager Scott Kaminsky still couldn?t believe how it happened.

?It?s excellent. We needed New England and the ?Over.? We got lucky,? Kaminsky said.

The sequence of plays leading up to the interception made it look like Seattle was a lock to put up the winning score. The Seahawks got an unbelievable Jermaine Kearse catch to set up first-and-goal with 1:06 remaining, and Lynch ran it to the 1 to set up second-and-goal.

?Before that catch at the 5-yard line, I thought New England was gonna win the game,? Kaminsky said. ?And then the Seahawks come up with a catch more miraculous than the helmet catch by the Giants? (David Tyree) in the Super Bowl.

?Once they got to second-and-goal at the 1-yard line, you just know you have to run the ball. It was such a horrible call. They still had a timeout left. How they didn?t run the ball at the 1-yard line is beyond me. You?ve got the best running back in the league. It was a no-brainer.?

But the Seahawks? loss was Kaminsky?s gain.

?It was like a gift,? he said. ?That play call will haunt Pete Carroll for the rest of his life.?

Back in Las Vegas, Nick Bogdanovich couldn?t have agreed more. The director of trading for William Hill U.S. said Pete Carroll?s play call put his shops in the same hole as The Mirage, the Superbook and Sportsbook.ag.

?It was a seven-figure swing in the wrong direction,? Bogdanovich said. ?I was stunned. I just looked at the TV and stared. I couldn?t believe what I?d just witnessed.

?Once the Seahawks got that miracle catch, then got up to the 1-yard line, I didn?t think there was any way they wouldn?t score. That call to throw on second-and-1 was totally mind-boggling.?

Meanwhile, they were celebrating downtown at the Golden Nugget, which wasn?t harmed by a 4-point Patriots victory and the total going high.

?We crushed it. It was a huge day,? Golden Nugget oddsmaker Aaron Kessler said. ?We were very balanced on the game. Other than a 1-point win either way, we were covered. It wasn?t perfect, but it was a very good day. We?re extremely happy.?

So how did the Golden Nugget avoid the fate that befell MGM-Mirage, the Superbook and William Hill?

?We just try to do our own thing,? Kessler said. ?We had liability at 1 both ways, a lot of plus-1 on both sides. But that was the risk we were willing to take. We just needed (the final margin) to stay off one.?

There were varying thoughts on whether the total handle in Nevada would best the record of $119 million set last year. ?My initial thought is that it won?t be a record,? Bogdanovich said.

With so much excitement around the game, though, Rood thought the record could be threatened.

?If we are indicative, then it will be right there,? he said.

Kessler was in Rood?s corner with that sentiment.

?We were up over last year. Not by much, but we were up,? he said. ?I wouldn?t be surprised if it was a record, and I wouldn?t be surprised if it wasn?t.?

Kornegay said that through Friday, he felt there was no chance at record state handle. Now, well, maybe so.

?There was such a mad rush the last day-and-a-half. We looked at the numbers Sunday morning and said, ?Man, we really picked up.? We surpassed last year?s handle,? Kornegay said, while noting that doesn?t mean a record is in the offing. ?It?s such a difficult number to predict. But with the NFL, football, the Super Bowl and sports betting in general, it?s all just growing in popularity every year. So I guess I wouldn?t be surprised if we surpassed last year?s record.?

And despite the Superbook taking a hit on the late interception, Kornegay assured life goes on.

?It wasn?t a disaster by any means,? he said. ?We?re gonna open tomorrow, believe it or not.?

I was just in the liquor store and the clerk and a customer were having a serious discussion about how the game must have been fixed. I burst out laughing and they gave me cold stares??..it was priceless.

never could figure out how all the big games I wagered on and lost were surely fixed..

But the big games I won on were not .....

now having wagered on sports for nearly 50 years that has always perplexed me..

don't these multi millionaires on the field who are on the take know they are messing w/my $$$ something fierce..

Now I can use the extra bucks w/the win..

but what the hell are 22 millionaires going to do w/ that little bit of mob money.

oh almost forgot..

several on field are multi multi millionaies ...but they need a few extra bucks for tipping the pizza person.

again....

YA CAN'T FIX STUPID..

never can..never will..

I have two grown boys, both involved in multiple sports growing up, and the unexpected happens a lot, both ways, good and bad. I've seen games turn around, games where you dominate and can't score, crappy calls by refs. 0-10 teams beating 10-0 teams. It all happens everywhere at every age. Hard to imagine trying to fix a game that is televised.

How the hell do you fix a catch like they had to get 1st and goal?

How after years and years of NFL has no one ever come forward to talk about the fix?

OF course it still will continue losers cry game was rigged or fixed

tell you truth years ago i worked for a bookie

OMG what he did to his bettors on stauradays was grand theft without a gun

I saw the sheets everyone on same side large $100 - $500 bets moved spread 2 points they didnt budge

picks up phone calls other locals BAM game fixed in minutes.

Cash paid after game was over so they couldnt get screwed by a player who wanted to win big

so easy a 35 point fav final minutes coughs up the ball other team scores TD or two easy cover lose by 25 points.

:mj07: I wanna be a bookie for a year or two i could retire .start with a bank of $10,000 limit players to $300 max until i get too $50,000 bank... hoping to have at laest 100 players that do saturday and sunday baskets foots then baskets retire after two years with $250,000 invest in some high yield money market or something
