The first thing is obvious...make sure windows are down, all dogs want to smell what is going on outside.

they have shock collars now that instead of using a shock use citronella spray which they hate. They are primarily for bark deterrence, but I'm sure when your dog is going crazy, barking is involved. Maybe that would help? One of my friends just used it successfully on his dog.
