I stand corrected .

Next new car or truck I buy I will try the fleet manager. I will tell them your uncle sent me.

Only thing is I stopped buying new cars. Its loathsome how when you drive it off the lot
the car drops 3 grand in value instantly.

I been buying low milage 2 year old vehicles and I have been happy with doing it. Much easier to get a lower price too.

do this in this particular order..it has always worked for me....

once that is settled take out your check book & put it on the salesman's desk....

AR I think you need to update your techniques from the 70s sir.

If I was a car salesman and you did that to me I would take your checkbook , throw it out the door and laugh as you walked out with no car.

Agent told me to say this

very funny scott....:mj07: :mj07:

believe it or not it works everytime that i have used this technique....& i lease new cars every 3-4 years....you ought to see the deal i got on my new car...

the checkbook on the desk shows that you're ready to buy/lease..

taking it off the desk shows that you are ready to leave...

i once walked into a nissan dealer & asked the front desk for directions to a competitive nissan dealer....& before i knew it i wa surrounded my 2 general managers...who told me that they could beat any offer...& bought me lunch also....:mj07:

and tell me scott...do you think in today's economical environment a dealer will let a serious buyer walk out the door...

thank you all for your help..I'm using a lot of the info....the insurance issue has been solved..My daughter gets the car loan..I'll keep her on my insurance for another year until she turns 25....the title to the car must be in both are names...since she has the loan in hers...

Think I'm close to making a deal...did what some of you guys said...will call the fleet manager? Where are they? Does every dealer have a fleet manager on site...my daughter wants to upgrade the car with a sunroof.I told the dealer if thats the case then give her the max on the trade in..$1500.....he said he has to talk to his manager....I said good...I'll talk to another dealer who as my daughter calls it" being stalked" by another salesman...I'll keep you guys updated....
thanks for all the responses and advice..
