the sum of an angle plus its complement plus its supplement is 200 more then the angle. Find the measure of all three angles.

WTF :confused: :shrug: :confused: :shrug:

An angle (A) + its complement (C) = 90 degrees
An angle (A) + its supplement (S) = 180 degrees

So in this case:

(A + C + S) = (A + 200)

Angle 35
Comp 55
Supp 145

(A + C + S) = 235 = (A + 200)

Anytime man, glad to share my useless knowledge whenever possible.

Really just got it from trying different #s. Once I set up that equation I just started plugging in #s for the angle, then getting the result and seeing if it matche. I am sure there is a way to prove it out with the formulas, though I am almost certain that with a small equation like this that would have taken me longer than just trial and error.

The non trial and error method

A+C+S = A+200

A+S = 180 .... S = 180 - A
A+C = 90 ... C = 90 - A

A + (90-A) + (180-A) = A + 200
A + 270 - 2A = A + 200
70 = 2A
35 = A

Yeah I get bored sometimes like that....
