Need help with 5 run chase explanation.

This is the part that confuses me.

Do we always bet on the team that wins by 5 or mor or agianst?

The rules states when a team wins by 5 or more the chase begins. The next sentence says these are the teams we will bet against.

I was thinking we bet against teams that win 5 or more.

Boston was a play Sat and they won by or 5 more Thurs and we only skipped one game.

These rules are very confusing and contradicting.

I read this in another thread.

THE 5 RUN CHASE
Wait for a team to win a game by 5 runs or more.
Skip that teams next 2 games.
Bet against that team for up to the next 4 games.
If the team wins by 5 runs or more during the 4 game period, skip another 2 games.
The Chase is over when you win.
The bet is always to win one unit.

Cinci was the play Sunday and we only skipped one game.

How do you you know what team to bet on or against. Sometimes you bet on the team that won by 5 and other times against them.

Spread sheet has Tampa RL as the play. Tampa just won by 5. That not skipping any games either.

I see St Louis was a loss. They won by 8 on the 26 yet we bet on them not against them.

This is very confusing.

Pitt won 9-0 vs Cards.

after a team wins by 5 you skip 2 games and then bet AGAINST them for the next 4....

there are stipulations if they win by 5 or more during the chase....

On them, it's a play against kc. This is kc third game since winning by 9. Plays at times will contradict themselves, but he goes with the one that entered the system first
