Need help with this angle

In Dogphish's Strenght of Schedule Thread (NCAA Football), AR182 indicated that last year the team with the most challenging SOS won 70% of the bowl games. Obviously all of us would take that precentage any day.

I would like to look a little deeper and see if there is a trend that combines the SOS with dog/fav and looks at totals as well as covers.

I hope this makes sense. Sometimes it is hard to communicate this kind of thing

Any suggested resources would be appreciated.
