Ok, so Char. beat the Wizards by 20 last night and now my online book has Char. as a 7 pt dog for tonight's game. The game is in Washington tonight, but the line was a pk last night in Char. What's going on here? :mj03: I know it's late and I've only slept 3 hrs in the past two days because I just had sgoulder surgery Monday, but is Char. the obvious way to go tonight or are the books thinking that these teams flip roles and the Wizards roll tonight? All input appreciated.

Thanks in advance and gl to all

Washington probably gives 4 or 5 points just for being the home team. Also, because the Wiz lost and Miami won, the Heat leapfroggred them in the playoff standings. The Wizards aren't in a must-win situation but every one of their games is huge from here on out. They could finish as high as fourth (and have homecourt) or as low as 6th. Charlotte on the other hand is playing for nothing but pride. I probably won't be playing the game but if I had to guess I would think the Wiz would bounce back with a convincing win tonight. Good luck whatever you play...

GQ,
Thanks for the response. I was just a little confused when I saw the line, since Char. handled the Wiz pretty easily last night. Thanks again and gl to you today.

No problem. Yeah, it's always weird to see a team win by 20 and then be a 7 point dog to the exact same team the next night. I think a lot of that has to do with homecourt advantage. Teams seem to play a lot better when they're at home and they often play flat when they're on the road. Having said that, there's really no excuse for the Wiz to lose by 20 to Charlotte no matter where they play them. There's a lot at stake for Washington and I think they might be a little pissed about tonight's performance. That's why I think they will come out and play very well tomorrow.

I totally agree, if I play the game at all I'll prolly just play the Wiz ML in a parlay, but I'll just have to wait and see what the value ends up at. Just curious, what are your thoughts on the Raptors +5 against the Magic? The Raps have already beat them twice this year and I think they have been playing well as of late, almost coming back and getting the "W" tonight.

If I was going to play that game I would take Toronto. No reason why they can't win that game outright. You're right, they've been playing very well and I'm beginning to think Bosh will keep them in just about every game! And they still have a lot to play for as far as playoff seeding is concerned.

Orlando still has a lot to play for too because they could move up to the 7 seed but they also have to fend off NY for the 8 seed. They are a pretty inconsistent team though. The only thing that would worry me about Toronto is that they played last night so they could have tired legs. Probably won't be an issue though since they only have to travel from Miami to Orlando and it's such an important game.

Just a warning though, I don't play too many NBA games. I play a lot of college but not much NBA.

I just started betting on NBA this year and have done well with playing mostly ML parlay's, I love college hoops though. I just think the Raps will take care of an inconsistent Magic team tonight and I'll gladly take the points. I just hope I'm on the right side of this one. Bosh has stepped up big time for the Raps and they have some good up and comers that are contributing as well. Your right they both still have much to play for, but even with the Magic having two more days rest, I see Toronto possibly winning this one by dd. Thanks for your input and good luck with your plays today.
