Guys I am normally the type to handle everything man to man but this situation may have to go the next step. This paticular person has a very large mouth and if I try to confront this myself I feel this could just get worse. If I lose this acct it will not hurt me in any way. But I am just concerned about the comment made and the effects it may have in my business dealings with other customers.

I have never used an attorney with the exception of the time I had to file my business as an incorporation so I really dont know the legal ins and outs.

A convenience store in my territory has made remarks that I have taken products out or have not delivered the full quantity. They have made these remarks to one of my competitors. Thus so I may have to seek legal representation.
One of my competitors in this business was nice enough to inform me of what was said directly to him.

I would like to see what legal and or punitve damages can be incurred to stop this from reflecting upon my business.

I would bring it up with the convenience store owner if the comments were made by one of his employees or confront the owner themself if they made the comment. This before I would consider any legal action. I am no lawyer but I doubt there is a case here.
