Picked up a new trailer yesterday and cant get the inside lights to work. Both the truck and the trailer have a round 7 point plug. All the other lights work on the trailer.

I picked up the trailer yesterday from the factory (saved on shipping costs) but being saturday no one was around. I called and talked to the salesman that sold me the trailer and he said that everytime this has happened it is because a fuse is missing in my truck. Its suppose to be an accessory fuse so the lights inside the trailer work.

I spent 3 hours and a 12 pack of beer looking yesterday but couldnt figure out where the missing fuse is.

Going to call dealer tommorow to find out for sure but thought someone here might know.

The truck is a 05 Silverado with the tow package from the factory.

bubbas, not trying to be a smart ass but

1) a 12 pack is too little of an investment for this
size of project and
2) go down and buy a 30 pack, enjoy, and then
wait till they open up tomorrow morning and
have them fix what should have been fixed before
you left their lot.

cheers bro :toast:

make yer boy hold a flashlight in each hand and sit there when you want the inside lights on. jeezuz... you'd think this was rocket surgery or something.

Problem solved. Called up the Chevy dealership and explained it to them. They knew exactly what I was talking about. Seems Chevy wanted to save 25 cents on the cost of there vehicles so they dont put in a fuse for the constant hot pole on the plug. (Dont be getting excited here Marine...we are not talking butt plug)

So I put a fuse where they said one was missing and viola....inside trailer lights. Would have never thought to put a fuse here because the owners manual says not to.

Marine...gonna have to get together before deer season for a few beers and maybe a wager on the biggest buck.
